I saw them at the V festival in the summer, they were the last act on the last night, it was showering down, the stars were out, and I danced away on the little hill to them.  Cheesy  Brilliant life long memory right there.

Anyway, this will crack you up, listen to the lyrics:

I seriously loved that that Berbs - thanks - funny and sad at the same time:

"This homeless guy was asking for money and I was about to give it to him, but I thought he's just going to use it on drugs and alchohol and then I thought hey thats what I'm gonna to use it on, why am I judging this poor bastard!"

This song seems appropriate for this forum; "Losing My Religion" by one of my favourite bands; REM.

    Losing My Religion

Perhaps it ought to be the Council's signature tune? Maryam Namazie could come striding on to stage with this music playing triumphantly in the background Grin lol

Rascal Flatts -- Feels Like Today

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HfXG-e68zCs

    I Woke up this morning
With this feeling inside me that I can't explain
like a weight that I've carried
    Been carried away, away

But I know something is coming
I don't know what it is
But I know it's amazing, you save me
    My time is coming
And I'll find my way out of this longest drought...

It feels like today I know
It feels like today I'm sure
It's the one thing that's missin'
    The one thing I'm wishin'
    Life's sacred blessin' and then
    It feels like today
    Feels like today

You treat life like a picture
But it's not a moment thats frozen in time
    It's not gonna wait
Til you make up your mind, at all

So while this storm is breaking
While there's light at the end of the tunnel
    Keep running towards it
Releasing the pressure, that's my heartache
    Soon this dam will break

And it feels like today I know,
it feels like today, I'm sure
It's the one thing that's missin'
    The one thing you're wishin'
    Life's sacred blessin' and then,
    It feels like today

Feels like, feels like your life changes
Feels like, feels like your life changes

It's the one thing that's missin'
    The one thing you're wishin'
    Life's sacred blessin' and then,
    It feels like today

Feels like, feels like your life changes
Feels like, feels like your life changes

    "How Do You Do"

    Forgive us our trespasses
As we forgive those who have trespassed against us
Give us this day our daily bread
    Daily bread, daily bread

In cello et in terra fiat voluntas tua
    Gloria Spiritui Sancto

    What language do you speak
    If you speak at all?
Are you some kind of freak
Who lives to raise the ones who fall?

Hey, could you tell me why
    The cat fights the dog?
Do you go to the Mosque
    Or the Synagogue?

And if our fates have all been wrapped around your finger
And if you wrote the script then why the troublemakers?

    How do you do?
How does it feel to be so high
    And are you happy?
    Do you ever cry?

    ... I sometimes cry ...

    You've made mistakes
Well that's OK 'cause we all have
    But if I forgive yours
    Will you forgive mine?

Hey, do you feel our pain
    And walk in our shoes?
    Have you ever felt starved
Or is your belly always full?

    How many people die
    And hurt in your name?
Hey, does that make you proud
Or does it bring you shame?

And if our fates have all been wrapped around your finger
And if you wrote the script then why the troublemakers?

    How do you do?
How does it feel to be so high
    And are you happy?
    Do you ever cry?

    ... I sometimes cry ...

    You've made mistakes
Well that's OK 'cause we all have
    But if I forgive yours
    Will you forgive mine?

    Forgive us our trespasses
As we forgive those who have trespassed against us
...Sameh Zoonoobee Allah... [Arabic. English translation: "Forgive my sins, Oh, Lord"]
Give us this day our daily bread
    ...Mechila... [Hebrew. English translation: "Forgiveness"]
    Daily bread
...Ya Allah (S'lach lanu)... [Hebrew. English translation: "Oh, Lord (Forgive us)"]
    Daily bread
    ...Ya Allah (S'lach lanu)...

    Forgive us our trespasses
As we forgive those who have trespassed against us
    ...Sameh Zoonoobee Allah...
Give us this day our daily bread
    ...Mechila...
    Daily bread
    ...S'lach lanu...
    Daily bread
Thine is the Kingdom and the Power and the Glory
    Amen!

    How do you do?
How does it feel to be so high
    And are you happy?
    Do you ever cry?

    ... I sometimes cry ...

    You've made mistakes

Nice songs. I enjoyed some of them. I like to add one more song to the list. A song by a 'lyre bird'. Lyre birds are found in Australia. They imitate other birds; in this video, the lyre bird imitates not only birds..

Trisha Yearwood -- Heaven, Heartache, and the Power of Love

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YIefNj4K1Do

They say up in heaven the streets are gold
Once you get past the pearly gates
    And the angels are singin'
At the top of a dove white staircase

And I say heartache can burn you down like hell
Leave you beggin' "Baby, please don't go"
    'Til you're scrapin' rock bottom
And cryin' in a deep, dark hole

Oh, and love can make you fly like a rocket
Put you on top of the world

    I'm talkin' 'bout
    Heaven - it's where I hope I'm goin'
    Heartache - that's where I've been
Heaven, heartache and the power of love

Well the preacher says when your time is up
You take a chariot to the lord
    Well I'm hopin' my chariot's
    A torch red Thunderbird Ford

And my old flame said "I hate to break it to you darlin'"
"I was born the leavin' kind"
Left me standin' in the drive
Cryin' why baby, why baby, why?

Oh, but real love's got me back in the saddle
    Shoutin' "Amen!" again

    That's what I know about
    Heaven - it's where I hope I'm goin'
    Heartache - that's where I've been
Heaven, heartache and the power of love

I've gotta keep lovin' and livin'
    And learnin' and burnin'
    Movin' on down the road

    Heaven - it's where I hope I'm goin'
    Heartache - that's where I've been
Heaven, heartache and the power of

    Heaven - it's where I hope I'm goin'
    Heartache - that's where I've been
Heaven, heartache and the power of love, uh-huh
Heaven, heartache and the power of love

Heaven, heartache and the power of love
    Heaven - where I hope I'm goin'
    Heartache - that's where I've been
    Heaven - mmhmm
    Heartache - oooh

    Heaven - that's where I'm goin'
