Well said, Berbs. As you say this place was always and I hope always will be a place for ex-Muslims to come together, find support, help, vent, relax and chill etc...

I enjoy discussing serious stuff too - but don't do it to "expose" Islam (even less to "destroy" Islam) - but just coz I like discussing stuff - however I'm here mainly for the company - a place where others have been through similar things I have and I can share and just hang out.

I come here for the people, and the atmosphere. There's a great mix of intelligent discussion, venting of frustrations, shared support, and general silliness. As The Wyre said, there's a solidarity here that you can't find anywhere else, and it's present even if a topic has nothing to do with Islam or religion. This forum is just as much about moving past Islam as it is about Islam.

And it just happens to be truly the best damn forum on the internet.

What do you come here for?

To learn more about what I used to believe. I have gained a wealth of wisdom,
and deeper understanding if Islam. I had no idea there were so many things
I took for granted, and blinded an eye to questions I had, feeling so damned
bamboozled.... again. I was AFRAID of going to hell.

I have found so much healing here, like minded people to share with. Even
those that aren't like minded offer a plethora of incredible info that helps
ease my mind, and validate the way I currently believe.

I have turned to CEMB in times of trouble, and without fail, have gleened
things that comforted me, that enabled me to think rationally, and helped
me become a better human being.

There so much more, but i come here because CEMB has had an extremely
positive influence on my life, and I enjoy exchanging with so many people
here!

I find comfort coming here knowing that there are other people who have had similar experiences, feelings and dilemmas as me - definitely this makes me feel less alone.

But not just that, I come to learn from and enjoy the funny, thoughtful, witty and brilliant people on this forum. Don't know what I would have done without the Urban Dictionary though.
