I sure hope you guys have heard of her.

If any of you have ever been to an old bookstore in Pakistan, you MUST'VE seen her books, otherwise you're nuts.

That's why I wanted GRB to play. :(

    Kay, another REALLY obvious hint.

She wrote a lot of different series of Children's Mystery Novels, about a group of kids (generally with a dog) who went out and solved mysteries.

It's not the woman who wrote those rabbit books.

And I dunno, if you had a childhood you should know her.

I don't visit bookstores here, all they sell is the quran, 200 different tafsirs of the quran and 199 different books on how to be a good muslim. Sometimes they have outdated course related material, too.

Ok.... was your published first name abbreviated to just 1 letter?

Ummm.....when I wrote under my real name, no. When I wrote under my other name, no idea.

Nobody would have heard of her pen name. And Wikipedia doesn't know. :(

If it helps, apparently her pen name is her middle name plus her first married name.

For Blyton? Nothing really. It was Allat's first question that completely threw me. Spent ages thinking about 19th century writers, then early 20th century writers, but she's a modern writer. _-_ The kids solving mysteries was the give away, soon as I face-palmed and thought - Famous Five! Secret Seven! OMG! XD

BTW Canadian libraries severely lack in the Enid Blyton department. :(

    More stuff I loved:

    - The Famous Five
    - I never really liked the Five Find Outers, I found Fatty to be annoying
    - Malory Towers

I'll decide tomorrow. Off to bed. It's annoying not being able to tell when you're sleepy, or meant to be sleepy. But it's dawned on me I've had barely 5 hours of sleep over the past 2 nights. _-_ And need to be up in another 3. Grr. Night.
