This is a really interesting paper on christian clergy man who no longer believe. I found it fascinating and thought you guys would enjoy it.

Yup I read this research paper a few months ago. It is definitely very insightful and heartbreaking at the same time. I feel for those clergy who are unable to leave their post. We have the liberty to discard our faith, but for many of them it is the only type of 'employment' they can have, especially with their degrees in theology. I can't imagine how difficult it must be to stand at the pulpit every week and preach the gospel when you yourself have doubts or no longer believe a word of it.

As far as I know, at least two clergymen in the Netherlands have openly said that they no longer belief in a personal God. They seem to regard god as a "comcept" rather than an entity outside, to whom one should justify oneself at any time. They are still working inside the Dutch Protestant church.

    Religion is organized superstition

Unfortunately, they are exceptions, not the norm.
