Definitely NO,  just because we are not Muslims, it doesn't mean we should disrespect them or disrespect their tradition.
This would be way out of order.

    so you aren't a muslim ?

I'm not really getting what the misunderstanding is. If you were to actually do these things, it'd be inconsiderate, intolerant, and counterproductive.

I have another idea. Why not troll muslim forums making up some trollish rituals.
For example things like, it is not only sunnat to break the fast with a date but our prophet used to eat coconut after that.
Eating coconuts has so and so advantages.. (just make up bullshit like it helps bring noorani glow on the face)
or something like he ate pomegranate, which medical science have proved that it is a cure for over 100 diseases.

Lets see how many subhanallah do you get.. Tongue

lol, do it and post screenshots.

Yeah an I am super ugly, I can't even beat my chest am too skinny and when I roaaar to attract women, they laugh at me, because it sounds like a girl screaming. I can't even attract any bitches!  Cry

I don't see whats intolerant about it. If Bob down the street worships a rock, is it intolerant to hide his rock one day and replace it with a coal and tell Bob his sins have made it black, then videotape his reaction? Tongue

    Keep it coming guys!

Fara, I know why you are saying this. Its because you are new x-muslim.. It takes a long time to settle down after the trauma of quitting islam..

I've been an ex muslim for 6yrs now, and i think this is a stupid idea.

It's got nothing to do with her newness to apostasy, and everything to do with not feeling a need to violate another person's actual traditions.

As a muslim I would have been seriously offended and hurt at some twat trying to mess with my attempts to fast, as an ex muslim I would not stoop so low as to do that.

Start a debate?  yes, but start using bullying tactics that some thread calls a prank?  no.  There is nothing right about that.

    ^Yes.

Then I guess you could either be 100% tolerant in life or you could have a sense of humor.

So what, we are only ex muslims if we are down with taking the active piss like this?

    That isn't right at all.

It's childish more than anything else.

Making someone break fast is an attempt to mess with them. But telling them new made up sunnah's like coconut, or eating in front of them is a good prank..
I think I will have a halwa friday at work.. (or some hardcore, desi/muslim dish, and offer that to coworkers of mine who sit beside muslim coworkers..)

If it's just eating in front of them, then I do that all the time.  I sit and eat in front of my bro and make Mmmmm sounds, and Ooooo sounds.

I waft food under his nose.  I smoke a spliff in his face.

That is fine though, 1 he is my brother and 2 my friends used to do that shit to me all the time.

But changing clocks and stuff, going that step too far.  Its just not nice.

Yes, I don't consider changing clocks very nice, but if Lara has that kind of relationship with her family, then I am really happy for her.

Fasting is highly productive.. Isn't it?
I am all about breaking the charisma of islamic spirituality of non-sense. Once broken, they can think outside the box.

Who cares if it is or isn't? It's their choice to practice it, no matter how stupid you think it is. Fact of the matter is that they're not bothering you by doing it and it's no better than a pushy Muslim trying to incite and insult you for not following Islam by shouting Qur'anic verses at you once they found out you were an apostate. If they're interested in leaving the religion, they'll find a way to just like all of us did.

They aren't bothering me by their fasting for now.. but they usually tend to bother when they start interfering with other people's business, or go out for prayer during working hours, or stink up the public washroom with all their water splashes while doing wudu.

No ganging Mud, I just think of something to post and see others already posted it more eloquently than me, also somehow my opinions seems to be always challenged because I am a new apostate, or because someone is doubting that am an apostate... to summarisse my opinion is if we are asking for our right not to practice religion, I think we should respect other’s right to practice religion.  Muslim are not the only religion that practice a form of fasting, others like Christians and Hindu also practice some kind of food restraint, so can’t see that its necessary to disrespect any beliefs and practices.

Neither  one is ganging up  on you nor are they trying to make you agree, they are stating their views which is contrary to yours.  Maybe you have come to the wrong forum, why not go to FFI? Im sure you will find members that will give you good ideas for the pranks.

Naija, this forum was much more anti islam than FFI ever was.. Ask Yeez. He had been on both forums for ages.. Also Fara, if I argue with you on something, or make a comment about any of thing about you, please don't take it personally. This is just how I talk in social settings to everybody.

I beg to differ, i was in FFI before, but the extreme hatred for muslims is too much for me to bear, plus the site is filled with the likes of DH and the far rightwing/Christian fundamentalist members.  Judging from the past threads i have read i think the members of this forum are more rational and objective than the FFI.
