    Sahih Bukhari

    Volume 9, Book 88, Number 232:
    Narrated Abu Huraira:

    Allah's Apostle said, "The Hour will not be established till the buttocks of the women of the tribe of Daus move while going round Dhi-al-Khalasa." Dhi-al-Khalasa was the idol of the Daus tribe which they used to worship in the Pre Islamic Period of ignorance

    don't see what's so confusing about this. there was a tribe called daus and they use to worship an idol. Muhammad expected that the women of this tribe would dance around it as a form of worship before the day of judgement occurred. it appears Muhammad imagined that this dance a bit like twerking and involved some butt movement.

    Thats weird because there's other hadiths in Bukhari where Muhammad sent his soldiers to destroy the dhu kalassa idol and kill whoever was present there. So in effect Muhammad was insuring that the end times could never come by destroying the idol.

    But i thought Muhammad wanted the end times to come....

    Just such a weird thing to say. And if this tribe was already around, not a prophesy of a tribe to come, shouldn't the day of judgement already have happened?

    Of course this particular one is listed in future prophecies. But perhaps there will come a time when people in the arabian peninsula will revert back to paganism and the descendants of the daus tribe will bring forth their women to twerk around their ancient idol. bi-iznillah
