Where does all the Mosque money go?

Just last year one of my local mosques was raising funds for another mosque, and someone donated $20,000 to them and two people donated $10,000, 4 people donated $1000, and so on. That's a lot of money! Where does all of that money go? Why do they need to raise so much money for a mosque. Does mosque money also pay for Imam's or are they working for free?

If its a full time imam, he gets like 30K annually. I think different areas have different rates. Also depends on his level of education. I am sure the ones in michigan gets a lot more as they are usually more educated than imported imams with zero education.

Infidels don't convert themselves. It takes mullah to get the word out.

So once again I'm left with the classic Irish man's dilemma, do I eat the potato or do I let it ferment so I can drink it later?

it costs money to keep a mosque going. Maintenance, electricity, hot water, staff and imaams, broadcasting etc
