I do try to empathise with Muslims. But then they go and open their mouth and spoil it all.

Too fucking busy, and vice versa.

You want me to judge you Ishina ?? You have so many "Phobias" ., well going through that link  I gave

    it says at Runnymede Trust:

The Runnymede Trust has identified eight components that they say define Islamophobia.

This definition, from the 1997 document 'Islamophobia: A Challenge For Us All' is widely accepted, including by the European Monitoring Centre on Racism and Xenophobia. The eight components are:

    Quote
    1) Islam is seen as a monolithic bloc, static and unresponsive to change.

    2) Islam is seen as separate and 'other'. It does not have values in common with other cultures, is not affected by them and does not influence them.

    3) Islam is seen as inferior to the West. It is seen as barbaric, irrational, primitive and sexist.

    4) Islam is seen as violent, aggressive, threatening, supportive of terrorism and engaged in a 'clash of civilisations'.

    5) Islam is seen as a political ideology and is used for political or military advantage.

    6) Criticisms made of the West by Islam are rejected out of hand.

    7) Hostility towards Islam is used to justify discriminatory practices towards Muslims and exclusion of Muslims from mainstream society.

Cool Anti-Muslim hostility is seen as natural or normal.

So now tell me do yu have any of those 8 "Phobias"?? or would you like add or take away some from that list Ishina??

Doesn't think make a huge majority of devout Muslims Islamophobic? I mean the main tenets is that Islam is a undivided ummah that has one creed and changes ( innovations) are haram?

    Quote
    2) Islam is seen as separate and 'other'. It does not have values in common with other cultures, is not affected by them and does not influence them.

I understand the the 'other' from a basis of Orientalism, but isn't that what hardliner Muslims say?  That they are unique that their values do not change and are not influenced by others?

    Quote
     3) Islam is seen as inferior to the West. It is seen as barbaric, irrational, primitive and sexist

This I can understand as a holistic issue.

    Quote
    5) Islam is seen as a political ideology and is used for political or military advantage.

Isn't this what Muslims say it is? A holistic political, economic, and social ideology?

    Quote
    6) Criticisms made of the West by Islam are rejected out of hand.

    This I can understand

    Quote
    7) Hostility towards Islam is used to justify discriminatory practices towards Muslims and exclusion of Muslims from mainstream society.

This I can understand, but exclusion from mainstream society is taught by the more hardline clerics.

So once again I'm left with the classic Irish man's dilemma, do I eat the potato or do I let it ferment so I can drink it later?

    Sure.

    You have so many "Phobias"

    I have no phobias.

So now tell me do yu have any of those 8 "Phobias"??

I dunno where phobia enters into it, but 1, 2, 3, and 5, are accurate descriptions of Islam. And 6 is something I should do more of.

or would you like add or take away some from that list Ishina??

I don't even know what it's supposed to be a list of.

In 1991, I was beaten by NYPD at anti-Iraq War protest. Undercover agents threw something into parade, 18 of us were dragged over barricades fencing protesters in. One cop kicked me in face while I was on the ground; another jumped on my stomach with his knee. I was one of the War Parade 18, charged with offences such as resisting arrest with a sentence of 13 years in prison. The only reason we were not imprisoned was because of news footage that finally was found that showed police attacked us.
