    There was something I wanted to suggest last night, but now i've forgotten what it was, I think I even managed to post here, in my mind. Who else does that? Do things in their mind and then get confused whether they did it in real or not wacko

    I remember what it was now!

    Basically is it possible for the new forum upgrade to allow the member/user more control over what info they want others to see and what info they want to hide. A bit like facebook/twitter layouts, where the user has control over their own name (at the very least) I know we have a new rule of no new name changes, but if the new upgrade could allow users to have more control over their own profile then it wouldn't cause so much trouble for the moderators.

    Oh and if it's possible to change our avatars in a much easier way rather than having to sign up with image hosting sites, like tinypic, imageshack etc. Instead we could just upload avatars straight from our hardrive or from any website.

    Also, regarding trolls/suspicious members, there could be a time limit/post limit i.e. a member has to be signed up for atleast 1-2 months before having any privileges, or have posted a certain number of posts. So one would have to work hard before acquiring these provisions over their own profile. So you could monitor and keep the trolls at bay as well as allowing genuine members the freedom they need.

    This way there would be less pressure on you (the moderators) and give the member fast access to changing whatever information they need to change if they're in danger, or in risk of being caught. Of course this should still be limited to say 3 name changes in total (just an example) and before each change takes place a certain amount of time needs to be allowed before the change is put in place.

    Seeing as this seemed to have turned into a requests thread...

    Could you make it so that banned members don't show up on the who's ignoring you thingy? I don't like being ignored by a ghost.

    We did try allowing people to change their displayed name themselves at any time. We stopped it because it was driving everyone bonkers. The current setup is no trouble for the staff.

    Disallowed deliberately. There have been several hacks that relied on that. They're fixed, but you can bet that somebody is trying to invent another one.

    What? it's not last post first, unless you go to last post or something. If you click on new I think it takes you to the last post. Plus I think you can change it in settings anyway. First, post first.
