    Hi,

    Everytime I log on cemb I get this box that appears asking me for a confirmation login and password

    it says:

    the server www.josephinewall.co.uk AT HOSTINGXP requires a username and password
    Warning: This server is requesting that your username and password be sent in an insecure manner (basic authentication without a secure connection).


    I dont get it, why is it asking me this? At first I thought it was just my computer but Three44 said its been happening to him too :s

    It's an artist's website. Which, if I remember correctly, someone has used one of artist's illustrations
     as an avatar. And it probably has something to do with the artist's work being password protected.

    It's a good thing it wasn't a hacking event, I entered all of my e-mail accounts along with the passwords and a few credit card numbers just for the heck of it. I am relived.

    I got those authentication dialogs too (last night on the second or third page of Eternity's intro thread).
    Luckily I never typed my username and password, and just kept clicking cancel.  But it did spook me slightly.

    Note to self: never type your password on such a dialog.  It's a worryingly easy phishing method. mysmilie_977
