You mean figging is nothing to do with Figs??   Damn you toor .. Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy  I spilled my coffee on key board  Cheesy Cheesy

Quran is doing this figging for a long time .. That could be the reason why people don't read it properly..

Well Our next surah is 28  and it is dropped in the book as 95  and it has 8 verses .......

well Quran is a strange book ., We know it is not put together in an orderly fashion.,  It doesn't matter how we look in to it either compilation order  or revelation order., The chapter you read has no connection with the next Surah  or previous Surah. It looks as if some guy collected some papers flying in the wind and stitch it together as book without he knowing/reading it.  One chapter is about Fig tree the next chapter about that Arabian pagan tribe QURAISH. So  that is what we are going to read in chapter 29., in the book it is chapter 106., silly thing has 4 verses in it..

    Quote
    QURAISH (WINTER, QURAYSH)

    106.001
YUSUFALI: For the covenants (of security and safeguard enjoyed) by the Quraish,
PICKTHAL: For the taming of Qureysh.
SHAKIR: For the protection of the Qureaish--

    106.002
YUSUFALI: Their covenants (covering) journeys by winter and summer,-
PICKTHAL: For their taming (We cause) the caravans to set forth in winter and summer.
SHAKIR: Their protection during their trading caravans in the winter and the summer--

    106.003
YUSUFALI: Let them adore the Lord of this House,
PICKTHAL: So let them worship the Lord of this House,
SHAKIR: So let them serve the Lord of this House

    106.004
YUSUFALI: Who provides them with food against hunger, and with security against fear (of danger).
PICKTHAL: Who hath fed them against hunger and hath made them safe from fear.
SHAKIR: Who feeds them against hunger and gives them security against fear.

Why write   a book chapter with 4 verses with 40 or so words in it??  Even those four statements  tell  very little/nothing about those Quraish   people of that time. Apparently they were the Tribe of Prophet of Islam.

Do not let silence become your legacy.. Question everything

So I was thinking to look some sort of clue and write some history  from those  4 verses in that revelation order chapter-29 but meanwhile a new member joins cemb with a nick " "FinalForesight" and writes his first post at that link.. and that is
    Quote
'When the worry for humanity becomes draining, when you feel helpless; 'no matter what, they will never believe; Flashback to Ramadan, making dua for mankind; when the suffering of the world was too much to bear and the promise of Hell was like a boulder of despair being dropped in an already bottomless pit...hmph, it seems silly now, when I saw what God couldn't. That the majority of us humans are just products of our environments, and that religion is just another aspect of that environment. Dostoevsky said it himself; 'the second half of a man's life is spent acting out the habits he learnt in the first'. And just like that I could see through humanity, I found it easy to forgive for the sake of forgiving..for you see, there are many different crimes humanity may be guilty of, but this 'crime' of disbelief is not one of them, and in that instance I realised...I was more benevolent than God.
    '

That OP sounds better than many chapters in Quran  Let me redo his/her(??) post
    Quote

Look at that Surah from CEMB newest member  "FinalForesight" Can any of the surahs I read from Quran beat that  "FinalForesight" Surah-1??

    I don't think So..

Errrrr  .,   4 verses  40 words  that is  one chapter.. one full chapter  from Allah/god..  the god..    Nonsense..

Yes, it was good, wasn't it?.........

Yap that guy "FinalForesight"  in his first post   throwing some revelations  Anyway let us move on to next chapter and that in the book  is chapter-101  named as Al-Qaria  (THE CALAMITY, THE STUNNING BLOW, THE DISASTER) with 11 verses . Offcourse, in sequential revelation order it is Surah-30

So let us read those 11 verses of that Chapter-30  and learn about how Allah creates THE CALAMITIES, THE DISASTERS and terrorize the unbelievers

    Quote
    101.001-005
     The Calamity! The terrible calamity!
     What is the terrible calamity!
And what will make you comprehend what the terrible calamity is?
The day on which men shall be as scattered moths,
And the mountains shall be as loosened wool.

    101.006-007
Then as for him whose measure of good deeds is heavy,
He shall live a pleasant life
    .

    101.008-010
And as for him whose measure of good deeds is light,
His abode shall be the abyss.
And what will make you know what it is?

    101.011
YUSUFALI: (It is) a Fire Blazing fiercely!
    PICKTHAL: Raging Fire.
    SHAKIR: A burning fire.

FIRE..FIRE.... Fire Blazing fiercely!  Raging Fire.  burning fire..  what nonsense is that? Infusing fear in simple folks of 7th century?

well let us move on to our next chapter Chapter-31 and that is Al-Qiyama (THE RISING OF THE DEAD, RESURRECTION) with some 40 verses or so.. The fact its heading says "RISING OF THE DEAD, RESURRECTION"  means this suarh heading for Plagiarism .. Anyways let us readt it..

    Quote
    075.001-013
Nay! I swear by the day of resurrection.
Nay! I swear by the self-accusing soul.
Does man think that We shall not gather his bones?
Yea! We are able to make complete his very fingertips
Nay! man desires to give the lie to what is before him.
He asks: When is the day of resurrection?
So when the sight becomes dazed,
    And the moon becomes dark,
And the sun and the moon are brought together,
Man shall say on that day: Whither to fly to?
By no means! there shall be no place of refuge!
With your Lord alone shall on that day be the place of rest.
Man shall on that day be informed of what he sent before and (what he) put off.

    075.0014-020
Nay! man is evidence against himself,
Though he puts forth his excuses.
Do not move your tongue with it to make haste with it,
Surely on Us (devolves) the collecting of it and the reciting of it.
Therefore when We have recited it, follow its recitation.
Again on Us (devolves) the explaining of it.

    075.021-025
Nay! But you love the present life,
     And neglect the hereafter.
(Some) faces on that day shall be bright,
     Looking to their Lord.
And (other) faces on that day shall be gloomy,

    075.026-031
Knowing that there will be made to befall them some great calamity.
Nay! When it comes up to the throat,
And it is said: Who will be a magician?
And he is sure that it is the (hour of) parting
To your Lord on that day shall be the driving.

    075.031
YUSUFALI: So he gave nothing in charity, nor did he pray!-
PICKTHAL: For he neither trusted, nor prayed.
SHAKIR: So he did not accept the truth, nor did he pray,

    075.032-036
But called the truth a lie and turned back,
Then he went to his followers, walking away in haughtiness.
Nearer to you (is destruction) and nearer,
Again (consider how) nearer to you and nearer.

    075.036-040
Does man think that he is to be left to wander without an aim?
Was he not a small seed in the seminal elements,
Then he was a clot of blood, so He created (him) then made (him) perfect.
Then He made of him two kinds, the male and the female.
Is not He able to give life to the dead?

So the whole surah about a guy who did not pray the way Prophet of Islam prescribed and he was rich guy but did not give to Prophet's charity  or he may given nothing to any charity. So our allah and Quran is raining curses on that guy and trying to infuse fear in those who may want leave Prophet's congregation and that suarh adds few verse about judgement day.. All that stuff it does by swearing  on day of resurrection.. day of judgement.. day of hell whatever..

There is never ending swearing  verses in every chapter. That is all what we have. Whole surah appears as rants against people who questioned Prophet of Islam and his  preaching/Quran.. Well that is all right., people debate all the time.. But there are verses in this surah also that do tell us bit of early  history of Islam of that time. We will explore History of early Islam and people around it  from Quarn a bit later but let us move on to next Suarh..  Again what we read above is CHAPTER-31 Not  Suarh-75 of present collated Quran

Do not let silence become your legacy.. Question everything

Again what we read above is CHAPTER-31 Not  Suarh-75 of present collated Quran

So our next chapter-32 is Surah-104  and has only 9 verses., It is named as Al-Humaza (THE TRADUCER, THE GOSSIPMONGER)The folks who collated Quran together as book were really FOOLS. I mean One chapter has 40 verses and the next one has only 9 verses.  Can't they distribute the verses to make the chapter to have decent amount of readable  material?  what is this nonsense one chapter 40 verses and other chapter 9 verses and some 4 verses? why??

well allah knows the best but for now  let us read 9 verses..

    Quote
    104.001-004

    Woe to every slanderer, defamer,
    Who amasses wealth and considers it a provision (against mishap);
He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal.
Nay! he shall most certainly be hurled into the crushing disaster
    ,

    104.005-009
And what will make you realize what the crushing disaster is?
It is the fire kindled by Allah,
     Which rises above the hearts.
Surely it shall be closed over upon them,
     In extended columns.

well again that 104.001-004  verses are nothing but ranting against a guy, a real historical figure in early Islam  who didn't support the idea of Allah and its religion that came out of Prophet of Islam.

Anyways the Surah name  Al-Humaza  is interesting ., We know there are plenty of smart people  converted or born in to Islam with "Hamza" attached to their names..  we also know, In Muslim communities the   name "Hamza" is used as "Boys name".,  it   means powerful or to be strong.

It is an Arabic name and is normally pronounced as hahm-zah. The name was possessed by prophet Mohammed's uncle who was an early Islam convert and was known for his courage and strength in battle. My point  is changing few letters in a "word" of many   Languages leads to entirely different meaning..

hahm-zah. ="Hamza" means "powerful or to be strong."
where as our Surah name  Al-Humaza   means   "The  Gossip monger")

Do not let silence become your legacy.. Question everything

Our next chapter,  The Suarh-33 is Al-Mursalat  (THE EMISSARIES, WINDS SENT FORTH) was compiled in that book by a some foolls and they put that as Surah 77   let us read those 50 verses.

    Quote
    077.00-004
I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit),
     By the raging hurricanes,
Which scatter clouds to their destined places,
Then separate them one from another,

    077.005-007
Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation,
    To clear or to warn.
Surely that which ye are promised will befall.

    077.008-014
So when the stars are made to lose their light,
And when the heaven is rent asunder,
And when the mountains are carried away as dust,
And when the messengers are gathered at their appointed time
To what day is the doom fixed?
    To the day of decision.
And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is?

    077.015-019
Woe on that day to the rejecters.
Did We not destroy the former generations?
Then did We follow them up with later ones.
Thus do We deal with men of sin
    .

    077.019-023
Woe on that day to the rejecters.
Did We not create you from contemptible water?
Then We placed it in a secure resting-place,
For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)?
For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things).

    077.024-028
Woe on that day to the rejecters.
Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself,
     The living and the dead,
And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water?

    077.028-34
Woe on that day to the rejecters.
Walk on to that which you called a lie.
Walk on to the covering having three branches,
Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame.
Surely it sends up sparks like palaces,
As if they were tawny camels.

    077.034-037
Woe on that day to the rejecters.
This is the day on which they shall not speak,
And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses.

    077.037-039
Woe on that day to the rejecters.
This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore.
So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now).

    077.040-044
Woe on that day to the rejecters.
Surely those who guard (against evil) shall be amid shades and fountains,
And fruits such as they desire.
Eat and drink pleasantly because of what you did.
Surely thus do We reward the doers of good.

    077.045-046
Woe on that day to the rejecters.
Eat and enjoy yourselves for a little; surely you are guilty.

    077.047-049
Woe on that day to the rejecters.
And where it is said to them: Bow down, they do not bow down.

    077.049-050
Woe on that day to the rejecters.
In what announcement, then, after it, will they believe?

So what do I see in those 50 verses?  I see "Woe on that day" song..  Boy out of 50 verses we have 10 of those "Woe on that day" verses that are repeated.,  Oh well that is OK., but what else we can learn from rest of the 40 verses?

Well some curses  for  the objectors/rejectors  of the faith
and some goody goody things for the followers of the faith..

Well that I can see in every Surah of Quran.  But Can we write batter sonnet/song   starting with "Woe on that day to the rejecters" . I bet some one like  our HappyMurtad  or Jedi can do much better job than what allah did in 7th century..   We will come back to extract history of that time from that surah.. but let us move on to next surah now..

Do not let silence become your legacy.. Question everything

Our next Surah is Surah-34 dumped in the book as Surah-50. It has some 54 verses and named as SABA.....SABA.... SHEBA....  QUEEN SHEBA., well let us read and get some nuggets out of it..
    Quote
    034.001-004
--Praise be to Allah, to Whom belong all things in the heavens and on earth: to Him be Praise in the Hereafter: and He is Full of Wisdom, Wise, and  Aware.

--He knows that which goes down into the earth and that which comes out of it, and that which comes down from the heaven and that which goes up to it; and He is the Merciful, the Forgiving.

-- And those who disbelieve say: The hour shall not come upon us. Say: Yea! by my Lord, the Knower of the unseen, it shall certainly come upon you; not the weight of an atom becomes absent from Him, in the heavens or in the earth, and neither less than that nor greater, but (all) is in a clear book

-- That He may reward those who believe and do good; these it is for whom is forgiveness and an honorable sustenance.

    034.005-007
--And (as for) those who strive hard in opposing Our communications, these it is for whom is a painful chastisement of an evil kind.

--- And those to whom the knowledge has been given see that which has been revealed to you from your Lord, that is the truth, and it guides into the path of the Mighty, the Praised.

-- And those who disbelieve say: Shall we point out to you a man who informs you that when you are scattered the utmost scattering you shall then be most surely (raised) in (to) a new creation?

    Quote
    034.008
YUSUFALI: "Has he invented a falsehood against Allah, or has a spirit (seized) him?"- Nay, it is those who believe not in the Hereafter, that are in (real) Penalty, and in farthest error.
PICKTHAL: Hath he invented a lie concerning Allah, or is there in him a madness? Nay, but those who disbelieve in the Hereafter are in torment and far error.
SHAKIR: He has  forged a lie against Allah or there is madness in him. Nay! those who do not believe in the hereafter are in torment and in great error.

    034.009-019
---Do they not then consider what is before them and what is behind them of the heaven and the earth? If We please We will make them disappear in the land or bring down upon them a portion from the heaven; most surely there is a sign in this for every servant turning (to Allah).

---: And certainly We gave to Dawood (DAVID)excellence from Us: O mountains! sing praises with him, and the birds; and We made the iron pliant to him,

---- Saying: Make ample (coats of mail), and assign a time to the making of coats of mail and do good; surely I am Seeing what you do.

-----: And (We made) the wind (subservient) to Sulaiman,(Solomon) which made a month's journey in the morning and a month's journey m the evening, and We made a fountain of molten copper to flow out for him, and of the jinn there were those who worked before him by the command of his Lord; and whoever turned aside from Our command from among them, We made him taste of the punishment of burning.

-----: They made for him what he pleased of fortresses and images, and bowls (large) as watering-troughs and cooking-pots that will not move from their place; give thanks, O family of Dawood! and very few of My servants are grateful.

----But when We decreed death for him, naught showed them his death but a creature of the earth that ate away his staff; and when it fell down, the jinn came to know plainly that if they had known the unseen, they would not have tarried in abasing torment.

---: Certainly there was a sign for Saba(Sheba) in their abode; two gardens on the right and the left; eat of the sustenance of your Lord and give thanks to Him: a good land and a Forgiving Lord!

------ But they turned aside, so We sent upon them a torrent of which the rush could not be withstood, and in place of their two gardens We gave to them two gardens yielding bitter fruit and (growing) tamarisk and a few lote-trees.

--- This We requited them with because they disbelieved; and We do not punish any but the ungrateful.

--- And We made between them and the towns which We had blessed (other) towns to be easily seen, and We apportioned the journey therein: Travel through them nights and days, secure.

---And they said: O our Lord! make spaces to be longer between our journeys; and they were unjust to themselves so We made them stories and scattered them with an utter scattering; most surely there are signs in this for every patient, grateful one

    034.020-028
---And Satan indeed found his calculation true concerning them, for they follow him, all save a group of true believers.

--And he has no authority over them, but that We may distinguish him who believes in the hereafter from him who is in doubt concerning it; and your Lord is the Preserver of all things

--- Say: Call upon those whom you assert besides Allah; they do not control the weight of an atom in the heavens or in the earth nor have they any partnership in either, nor has He among them any one to back (Him) up.

---- And intercession will not avail aught with Him save of him whom He permits. Until when fear shall be removed from their hearts, They shall say: What is it that your Lord said? They shall say: The truth. And He is the Most High, the Great.

-----Say: Who gives you the sustenance from the heavens and the earth? Say: Allah. And most surely we or you are on a right way or in manifest error

-----: Say: You will not be questioned as to what we are guilty of, nor shall we be questioned as to what you do.

---- Say: Our Lord will gather us together, then will He judge between us with the truth; and He is the greatest Judge, the All-knowing.

----- Say: Show me those whom you have joined with Him as associates; by no means (can you do it). Nay! He is Allah, the Mighty, the Wise.

----- And We have not sent you but to all the men as a bearer of good news and as a warner, but most men do not know.

    034.029-036
--- And they say: When will this promise be (fulfilled) if you are truthful?

--- Say: You have the appointment of a day from which you cannot hold back any while, nor can you bring it on.

---- And those who disbelieve say: By no means will we believe in this Quran, nor in that which is before it; and could you see when the unjust shall be made to stand before their Lord, bandying words one with another! Those who were reckoned weak shall say to those who were proud: Had it not been for you we would certainly have been believers.

----Those who were proud shall say to those who were deemed weak: Did we turn you away from the guidance after it had come to you? Nay, you (yourselves) were guilty

----- And those who were deemed weak shall say to those who were proud. Nay, (it was) planning by night and day when you told us to disbelieve in Allah and to set up likes with Him. And they shall conceal regret when they shall see the punishment; and We will put shackles on the necks of those who disbelieved; they shall not be requited but what they did.

--- Never did We send a warner to a population, but the wealthy ones among them said: "We believe not in the (Message) with which ye have been sent."

--- And they say: We have more wealth and children, and we shall not be punished.

--- Say: Surely my Lord amplifies the means of subsistence for whom He pleases and straitens (for whom He pleases), but most men do not know.

    034.037-039
--- It is not your wealth nor your sons, that will bring you nearer to Us in degree: but only those who believe and work righteousness - these are the ones for whom there is a multiplied Reward for their deeds, while secure they (reside) in the dwellings on high!
-- And (as for) those who strive in opposing Our communications, they shall be caused to be brought to the chastisement.

---- Say: Surely my Lord amplifies the means of subsistence for whom He pleases of His servants and straitens (them) for whom (He pleases), and whatever thing you spend, He exceeds it in reward, and He is the best of Sustainers.

    034.040-043
---- And on the day when He will gather them all together, then will He say to the angels: Did these worship you?

----- They shall say: Glory be to Thee! Thou art our Guardian, not they; nay! they worshipped the jinn; most of them were believers in them.

------ So on that day one of you shall not control profit or harm for another, and We will say to those who were unjust: Taste the chastisement of the fire which you called a lie.

---- And when Our clear communications are recited to them, they say: This is naught but a man who desires to turn you away from that which your fathers worshipped. And they say: This is naught but a lie that is forged. And those who disbelieve say of the truth when it comes to them: This is only clear enchantment.

    034.044-050

---And We have not given them any books which they read, nor did We send to them before you a warner.

-- And those before them rejected (the truth), and these have not yet attained a tenth of what We gave them, but they gave the lie to My messengers, then how was the manifestation of My disapproval?

---- Say: I exhort you only to one thing, that rise up for Allah's sake in twos and singly, then ponder: there is no madness in your fellow-citizen; he is only a warner to you before a severe chastisement.

----- Say: Whatever reward I have asked of you, that is only for yourselves; my reward is only with Allah, and He is a witness of all things.

------Say: Surely my Lord utters the truth, the great Knower of the unseen.

---- Say: The truth has come, and the falsehood shall vanish and shall not come back.

--- Say: If I err, I err only against my own soul, and if I follow a right direction, it ?s because of what my Lord reveals to me; surely He is Hearing, Nigh.

    034.051-054
--- And could you see when they shall become terrified, but (then) there shall be no escape and they shall be seized upon from a near place

---- And they shall say: We believe in it. And how shall the attaining (of faith) be possible to them from a distant place?

---- And they disbelieved in it before, and they utter conjectures with regard to the unseen from a distant place.

------  And a barrier shall be placed between them and that which they desire, as was done with the likes of them before: surely they are in a disquieting doubt

So we are in to Surah-35   and that is Surah-90 in the book .,  Named as   Al-Balad  (THE CITY, THIS COUNTRYSIDE) and has 20 verses., let us read it..

    Quote
    090.001-003
-Nay! I swear by this city.
-And you shall be made free from obligation in this city--
-And the begetter and whom he begot.

    090.004-003
-Verily We have created man into toil and struggle.
-Does he think that no one has power over him?
-He shall say: I have wasted much wealth.
-Does he think that no one sees him?
-Have We not given him two eyes,
-And a tongue and two lips,

    090.010-018
-And pointed out to him the two conspicuous ways?
-But he would not attempt the uphill road,
-And what will make you comprehend what the uphill road is?
-(It is) the setting free of a slave,
-Or the giving of food in a day of hunger
    -To an orphan, having relationship,
-Or to the poor man lying in the dust.
    - Then he is of those who believe and charge one another to show patience, and charge one another to show compassion.
    - These are the people of the right hand.

    090.019-20
-And (as for) those who disbelieve in our communications, they are the people of the left hand.
-On them is fire closed over.

Well let me put that Surah-36 also here  and that is collated in the book as Surah At-Tariq(THE MORNING STAR, THE NIGHTCOMER) at number 86.  and it has 17 verses in it

    Quote
    086.001-004
    I swear by the heaven and the comer by night;
And what will make you know what the comer by night is?
     The star of piercing brightness;
There is not a soul but over it is a keeper.

    086.005-007
So let man consider from what he is created.
He is created from a drop emitted-
Coming from between the back and the ribs.

    086.008-011
Most surely He is able to return him (to life).
On the day when hidden things shall be made manifest,
He shall have neither strength nor helper.

    086.011-014
I swear by the raingiving heavens,
      And the earth splitting (with plants);
Most surely it is a decisive word,
      And it is no joke.

    086.015-017
Surely they will make a scheme,
And I (too) will make a scheme.
So grant the unbelievers a respite: let them alone for a while.

So  we read all the way up to chapter 36.,  roughly  875 verses., What did we learn? and what do we have in that last   35 and 36  surahs?  we have  57 or so verses in them.   We obviously have some swearing on something.. such as

" I swear by this city
    I swear by the heaven and the comer by night;
I swear by the raingiving heavens,
And the earth splitting (with plants)"

Well every surah has some swearing business and after that what we have some  insults/chidings of  some guy(rich guy?) in the town

    " not freeing a slave,
not giving food to some hungry guy and
" having no  relationship with Orphan"
     etc..etc..

if we reomove  such  verses of that rich guy on whom allah is raining insults, rest of the Quran is mundane ... nothing.  NOTHING.. . it is just yadi..yada..such as

"-Have We not given him two eyes,
-And a tongue and two lips,
He is created from a drop emitted-
Coming from between the back and the ribs"

which is nothing but rubbish... Does allah need to tell people this nonsense?

I give you eyes, nose? ass? or  some drops  come  out of male organ which creats  this feudal "HE"  guy of the town who may have been a moron  of that time and didn't help some orphan?

A dog knows it has eyes, nose ass and dog knows that something comes out of its  penis that creates babies.. biiiiig deal.. errrrrrrr.... And in 21st century well educated fellows consider such statemnet as this  "He is created from a drop emitted-" as miracle  of Quran... NONSENSE.....

Anyways as far as chiding some rich bugger of the town who may not have helped some poor folks or orphans or didn't  feed hungry is concerned., Do'n't we have such "Help the poor plesse" statements in earlier religious literature?  Here let me put some from bible itself,  another alleged scripture that Quran often gives credit saying "that statements in bible are indeed from allah/god" (but some people corrupted it)

    Quote
"Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will repay him for his deed. ".........Proverbs 19:17

"Sell your possessions, and give to the needy. Provide yourselves with moneybags that do not grow old, with a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches and no moth destroys" ...........Luke 12:33

“If your brother becomes poor and cannot maintain himself with you, you shall support him as though he were a stranger and a sojourner, and he shall live with you"....Leviticus 25:35

"Whoever despises his neighbor is a sinner, but blessed is he who is generous to the poor.".....Proverbs 14:21

I am sure there are plenty more such verses  in  OT and NT . So what more did Allah/god add in to Quran more than what we don't have in OT and NT?

Oh well.. let us read next chapter..

Comer by night? That a typo? Looks like it should be either coming of night or comet by night.

`But I don't want to go among mad people,' Alice remarked.
`Oh, you can't help that,' said the Cat: `we're all mad here. I'm mad.  You're mad.'
`How do you know I'm mad?' said Alice.
`You must be,' said the Cat, `or you wouldn't have come here.'

Well our next Surah-37 is Al-Qamar  (THE MOON) and it has some 54 verses.  Al-Qamar   is 54th surah in the book and it was allegedly revealed in the 5/6th year after  that 40 year old "Abū al-Qāsim Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿAbd al-Muṭṭalib ibn Hāshim" appointed as Prophet of Islam by our allah.  let us read a part of it..
    Quote
    054.001-018
-The hour drew nigh and the moon did rend asunder.
-And if they see a miracle they turn aside and say: Transient magic.
-And they call (it) a lie, and follow their low desires; and every affair has its appointed term.
-And certainly some narratives have come to them wherein is prevention--
    - Consummate wisdom-- but warnings do not avail;

-So turn (your) back on them (for) the day when the inviter shall invite them to a hard task,
-Their eyes cast down, going forth from their graves as if they were scattered locusts,
-Hastening to the inviter. The unbelievers shall say: This is a hard day.

    054.009-015
-Before them the people of Nuh rejected, so they rejected Our servant and called (him) mad, and he was driven away.
-Therefore he called upon his Lord: I am overcome, come Thou then to help.
    - So We opened the gates of the cloud with water pouring
    - And We made water to flow forth in the land in springs, so the water gathered together according to a measure already ordained.
-and We bore him on an (Ark) made of broad planks and caulked with palm-fibre
    - Sailing, before Our eyes, a reward for him who was denied.
    - And verily We left it as a token; but is there any that remembereth? [/i]

    054.016-023
    - How (great) was then My punishment and My warning!
    - And certainly We have made the Quran easy for remembrance, but is there anyone who will mind?
    - Ad treated (the truth) as a lie, so how (great) was My punishment and My warning!
    - Surely We sent on them a tornado in a day of bitter ill-luck
-Tearing men away as if they were the trunks of palm-trees torn up.
    - How (great) was then My punishment and My warning!
    - And certainly We have made the Quran easy for remembrance, but is there anyone who will mind?

    054.023-026
    - Samood rejected the warning.
    - So they said: What! a single mortal from among us! Shall we follow him? Most surely we shall in that case be in sure error and distress:
    - Has the reminder been made to light upon him from among us? Nay! he is an insolent liar!
    - Tomorrow shall they know who is the liar, the insolent one.

well we read some 26 verses and as we can see that  in this Surah-37  some verse (054.009-015 ) deals with that  Noah's Ark story of OT.,  Incidentally we have plenty more verses in Quran in different chapters that speaks about this  Noah's Ark story

Noah's Ark- is the Qur'an more believable than the Bible?

Noah’s Ark (Or Why Does Some Mythology Get a Free Pass?)

Noah and the Epic of Gilgamesh

    054.027-031
-For We will send the she-camel by way of trial for them. So watch them, (O Salih), and possess thyself in patience!
-And inform them that the water is shared between them; every share of the water shall be regulated.
-But they called their companion, so he took (the sword) and slew (her).
    - How (great) was then My punishment and My warning!
    - Surely We sent upon them a single cry, so they were like the dry fragments of trees which the maker of an enclosure collects.

    054.032
    - And certainly We have made the Quran easy for remembrance, but is there anyone who will mind?

    054.033-035
    - The people of Lut treated the warning. as a lie.
-Surely We sent upon them a stonestorm, except Lut's followers; We saved them a little before daybreak,
-A favor from Us; thus do We reward him who gives thanks.

    054.036-039
    - And certainly he warned them of Our violent seizure, but they obstinately disputed the warning.
    - And they even sought to snatch away his guests from him, but We blinded their eyes. (They heard:) "Now taste ye My Wrath and My Warning."
    - Early on the morrow an abiding Punishment seized them:
-So taste My chastisement and My warning.

    054.040-040
-And certainly We have made the Quran easy for remembrance, but is there anyone who will mind?
    - And certainly the warning came to Firon's people.
    - They rejected all Our communications, so We overtook them after the manner of a Mighty, Powerful One.
    - Are your Unbelievers, (O Quraish), better than they? Or have ye an immunity in the Sacred Books?
-Or do they say: "We acting together can defend ourselves"?

    054.045-048
    - The hosts will all be routed and will turn and flee.
    - Nay, the hour is their promised time, and the hour shall be most grievous and bitter.
-Surely the guilty are in error and distress.
    - On the day when they shall be dragged upon their faces into the fire; taste the touch of hell.

    054.049-053
    - Surely We have created everything according to a measure.
    - And Our command is but one, as the twinkling of an eye.
-And certainly We have already destroyed the likes of you, but is there anyone who will mind?
    - And everything they have done is in the writings.
-And everything small and great is written down.

    054.054-055
-Surely those who guard (against evil) shall be in gardens and rivers,
    - In the seat of honor with a most Powerful King.

well I was trying to edit that last post on Surah-37 aka surah-54 of the book., But in CEMB we can not edit the post or any post if it is older than week or so., Let me dribble few words  on what  that surah-37 The Al-Qamar  sayings..,

so what do we have in it?   we have 054.027-031 filled with the story of some She Camel..,   Story of Lut is mentioned in verses 054.033-035 and we have story of Firon in verses 054.040-040  and rest of verses are filled with    violent seizure,   warning....blinded the eyes and what nonsense for those folks who questioned Muhammad and his Islam at that time ., So where did these silly stories of Lut, She Camel, Firon come from?  Well for that we need to read Tafsir..  and we swill do in time.  But let us put that surah-38 here.  that is funny  In the book   it is also put as   chapter 38  with a name "Sad."

Ha it appears that is  ONLY THE SURAH of Quarn which is put in the exactly same place as that revelation order..  I didn't realize until today..Miracle..Miracle  and it has 88 verse

SAD (THE LETTER SAD) Total Verses: 88  Revealed At: MAKKA

    Quote
    038.001-005
Suad, I swear by the Quran, full of admonition.
-Nay, but those who disbelieve are in false pride and schism.
-How many generations before them did We destroy? In the end they cried (for mercy)- when there was no longer time for being saved!
-And they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves, and the disbelievers say: This IS an enchanter, a liar.
-What! makes the the gods a single Allah? A strange thing is this, to be sure!

    038.006- 010
    - And the chief persons of them break forth, saying: Go and steadily adhere to your gods; this is most surely a thing sought after.
-We never heard of this in the former faith; this is nothing but a forgery:
    - "What! has the Message been sent to him - (Of all persons) among us?"...but they are in doubt concerning My (Own) Message! Nay, they have not yet tasted My Punishment!
-Or have they the treasures of the mercy of thy Lord,- the Exalted in Power, the Grantor of Bounties without measure?
    - Or is it that theirs is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and what is between them? Then let them ascend by any

    038.011-016
-A host of deserters of the allies shall be here put to flight.
    - Before them (were many who) rejected messengers,- the people of Noah, and 'Ad, and Pharaoh, the Lord of Stakes,
-And Samood and the people of Lut and the dwellers of the thicket; these were the parties.
    - Not one (of them) but rejected the messengers, but My punishment came justly and inevitably (on them).
    - Nor do these await aught but a single cry, there being no delay in it.
    - And they say: O our Lord! hasten on to us our portion before the day of reckoning.

    038.017-023
-Bear patiently what they say, and remember Our servant Dawood, the possessor of power; surely he was frequent m returning (to Allah).
-Surely We made the mountains to sing the glory (of Allah) in unison with him at the evening and the sunrise,
-And the birds gathered together; all joined in singing with him.
-And We strengthened his kingdom and We gave him wisdom and a clear judgment.
    - And has there come to you the story of the litigants, when they made an entry into the private chamber by ascending over the walls?
-When they entered in upon Dawood and he was frightened at them, they said: Fear not; two litigants, of whom one has acted wrongfully towards the other, therefore decide between us with justice, and do not act unjustly, and guide us to the right way.
-Surely this is my brother; he has ninety-nine ewes and I have a single ewe; but he said: Make it over to me, and he has prevailed against me in discourse.

    038.024-030
-(David) He said: Surely he has been unjust to you in demanding your ewe (to add) to his own ewes; and most surely most of the partners act wrongfully towards one another, save those who believe and do good, and very few are they; and Dawood was sure that We had tried him, so he sought the protection of his Lord and he fell down bowing and turned time after time (to Him).
-Therefore We rectified for him this, and most surely he had a nearness to Us and an excellent resort.
    - o Dawood ! surely We have made you a ruler in the land; so judge between men with justice and do not follow desire, lest it should lead you astray from the path of Allah; (as for) those who go astray from the path of Allah, they shall surely have a severe punishment because they forgot the day of reckoning.
    - And We did not create the heaven and the earth and what is between them in vain; that is the opinion of those who disbelieve then woe to those who disbelieve on account of the fire.
    - Shall We treat those who believe and do good like the mischief-makers in the earth? Or shall We make those who guard (against evil) like the wicked?
    - (It is) a Book We have revealed to you abounding in good that they may ponder over its verses, and that those endowed with understanding may be mindful.
    - To David We gave Solomon (for a son),- How excellent in Our service! Ever did he turn (to Us)!

    038.031-032
-When there were brought to him in the evening (horses) still when standing, swift when running--
    -  Then he said: Surely I preferred the good things to the remembrance of my Lord-- until the sun set and time for Asr prayer was over, (he said):

    038.033-038
-Bring them back to me; so he began to slash (their) legs and necks.
    - And certainly We tried Sulaiman, and We put on his throne a (mere) body, so he turned (to Allah).
    -He said: My Lord! do Thou forgive me and grant me a kingdom which is not fit for (being inherited by) anyone after me;
-Then We made the wind subservient to him; it made his command to run gently wherever he desired,
-And the shaitans, every builder and diver,
    -And others fettered in chains.

    038.039-040
-This is Our free gift, therefore give freely or withhold, without reckoning.
-And he enjoyed, indeed, a Near Approach to Us, and a beautiful Place of (Final) Return.

    Quote
    038.041
YUSUFALI: Commemorate Our Servant Job. Behold he cried to his Lord: "The Evil One has afflicted me with distress and suffering!"
PICKTHAL: And make mention (O Muhammad) of Our bondman Job, when he cried unto his Lord (saying): Lo! the devil doth afflict me with distress and torment.
SHAKIR: And remember Our servant Ayyub, when he called upon his Lord: The Shaitan has afflicted me with toil and torment.

    038.042
YUSUFALI: (The command was given:) "Strike with thy foot: here is (water) wherein to wash, cool and refreshing, and (water) to drink."
PICKTHAL: (And it was said unto him): Strike the ground with thy foot. This (spring) is a cool bath and a refreshing drink.
SHAKIR: Urge with your foot; here is a cool washing-place and a drink.
038.043 : And We gave him his family and the like of them with them, as a mercy from Us, and as a reminder to those possessed of understanding.

    038.044
YUSUFALI: "And take in thy hand a little grass, and strike therewith: and break not (thy oath)." Truly We found him full of patience and constancy. How excellent in Our service! ever did he turn (to Us)!
PICKTHAL: And (it was said unto him): Take in thine hand a branch and smite therewith, and break not thine oath. Lo! We found him steadfast, how excellent a slave! Lo! he was ever turning in repentance (to his Lord).
SHAKIR: And take in your hand a green branch and beat her  with It and do not break your oath; surely We found him patient; most excellent the servant! Surely he was frequent m returning (to Allah).

well that is how we can put quran verses together to make some sense and some story out of them.,  The translation of those 038.041 to 38.044 are is all over., each one of them talking slightly differently ..eg., 038.044  says

    Quote
"And take in your hand a green branch and beat her  with It and do not break your oath;"

Now question is "BEAT WHO? who is that her? and why.. off course there is no "her" in other translations.. in such cases we have to go and read from horse mouth and that is going to be the translation  from that Al-Azhar University  or some one from that University of SAND LAND.. such as http://d1.islamhouse.com/data/en/ih_books/single/en_Translation_of_the_Meanings_Quran.pdf .,  supposed to be the best translation(NOT SURE WHY)  also we can cross check from the  link islamawakened.com where more than 20 TRANSLATIONS of Quran is available on line..

-o the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together:
    - But not Iblis: he was proud and he was one of the unbelievers.
    - He said: O Iblis! what prevented you that you should do obeisance to him whom I created with My two hands? Are you proud or are you of the exalted ones?
-He(Iblis) said: I am better than he; Thou hast created me of fire, and him Thou didst create of dust.

038.077 :(Allah) He said: Then get out of it, for surely you are driven away:
038.078 : And surely My curse is on you to the day of judgment.

Well we have done 38 Meccan Chapters of Quran., we need to read another 48 chapters to complete the Quran that was allegedly reveled by allah god to our messenger.. let us read some, week end is a good time to do that. So our next chapter in the revelation order is 39  and read that we have to jump back to 7th chapter.. Stupid fools didn't even know how to collate the allah  book .  Anyways let us read that Al-Araf chapter-39, was allegedly revealed in Mecca  and has 206 verses..

    Quote
    007.001-003:

     Alif Lam Mim Suad.
_A Book revealed unto thee,- So let thy heart be oppressed no more by any difficulty on that account,- that with it thou mightest warn (the erring) and teach the Believers).
_ Follow (O men!) the revelation given unto you from your Lord, and follow not, as friends or protectors, other than Him. Little it is ye remember of admonition.

    007.004-007

_And how many a town that We destroyed, so Our punishment came to it by night or while they slept at midday.
_Yet their cry, when Our punishment came to them, was nothing but that they said: Surely we were unjust.
    _Most certainly then We will question those to whom (the messengers) were sent, and most certainly We will also question the messengers;
_Then most certainly We will relate to them with knowledge, and We were not absent.

    007.008-009

    _And the measuring out on that day will be just; then as for him whose measure (of good deeds) is heavy, those are they who shall be successful;
_And as for him whose measure (of good deeds) is light those are they who have made their souls suffer loss because they disbelieved in Our communications
    .

    007.010_013

_ And certainly We have established you in the earth and made in it means of livelihood for you; little it is that you give thanks.
_And certainly We created you, then We fashioned you, then We said to the angels: Prostrate to Adam. So they did prostrate except Iblis; he was not of those who prostrated.
_He (Allah) said: What hindered you so that you did not prostrate when I commanded you? He said: I am better than he: Thou hast created me of fire, while him Thou didst create of dust.
_ He (Allah)said: Then get forth from this (state), for it does not befit you to behave proudly therein. Go forth, therefore, surely you are of the abject ones.
_He said: Respite me until the day when they are raised up.
_He said: Surely you are of the respited ones.
_ He said: As Thou hast caused me to remain disappointed I will certainly lie in wait for them in Thy straight path.

007.017 : "Then will I assault them from before them and behind them, from their right and their left: Nor wilt thou find, in most of them, gratitude (for thy mercies)."

    007.018 :021
-He (Allah)  said: Get out of this (state), despised, driven away; whoever of them will follow you, I will certainly fill hell with you all.
_And (We said): O Adam! Dwell you and your wife in the garden; so eat from where you desire, but do not go near this tree, for then you will be of the unjust.
_But the Shaitan made an evil suggestion to them that he might make manifest to them what had been hidden from them of their evil inclinations, and he said: Your Lord has not forbidden you this tree except that you may not both become two angels or that you may (not) become of the immortals...
_And he swore to them both: Most surely I am a sincere adviser to you

What the hell was that?  allah appears to be drunk.... allah talks to Adam, allah talks to Muhammad, heeeeeeeeee talks to Iblis and  talks to people.,   all of that with in 20 verses.

Hmm I wonder whether the fools who collected Quran collated it properly ?  or did they mess it up., I mean messing up the order of revelation ., such as putting the verses that  were revealed in the year 614  was put in to a chapter that was revealed some time later in the year 619??

who knows allah knows the best..

well let us read another 20 verses of our chapater-39..

    Quote
    007.022-025

_Then he(Iblis) caused them to fall by deceit; so when they tasted of the tree, their evil inclinations became manifest to them, and they both began to cover themselves with the leaves of the garden; and their Lord called out to them: Did I not forbid you both from that tree and say to you that the Shaitan is your open enemy?
_ They said(adam & eve): Our Lord! We have been unjust to ourselves, and if Thou forgive us not, and have (not) mercy on us, we shall certainly be of the losers.
_ He (Allah) said: Get forth, some of you, the enemies of others, and there is for you in the earth an abode and a provision for a time.
_He (allah) said: Therein shall you live, and therein shall you die, and from it shall you be raised.

    007.026-028

_ O children of Adam! We have indeed sent down to you clothing to cover your shame, and (clothing) for beauty and clothing that guards (against evil), that is the best. This is of the communications of Allah that they may be mindful.
_ O children of Adam! let not the Shaitan cause you to fall into affliction as he expelled your parents from the garden, pulling off from them both their clothing that he might show them their evil inclinations, he surely sees you, he as well as his host, from whence you cannot see them; surely We have made the Shaitans to be the guardians of those who do not believe.
_ And when they commit an indecency they say: We found our fathers doing this, and Allah has enjoined it on us. Say: Surely Allah does not enjoin indecency; do you say against Allah what you do not know?

    007.029-034
_Say: My Lord has enjoined justice, and set upright your faces at every time of prayer and call on Him, being sincere to Him in obedience; as He brought you forth in the beginning, so shall you also return.
_Some He hath guided: Others have (by their choice) deserved the loss of their way; in that they took the evil ones, in preference to Allah, for their friends and protectors, and think that they receive guidance.
_Say: Who has prohibited the embellishment of Allah which He has brought forth for His servants and the good provisions? Say: These are for the believers in the life of this world, purely (theirs) on the resurrection day; thus do We make the communications clear for a people who know.
_ Say: My Lord has only prohibited indecencies, those of them that are apparent as well as those that are concealed, and sin and rebellion without justice, and that you associate with Allah that for which He has not sent down any authority, and that you say against Allah what you do not know.
_And for every nation there is a doom, so when their doom is come they shall not remain behind the least while, nor shall they go before.

    007.035-037

_O ye Children of Adam!   if there come to you messengers from among you relating to you My communications, then whoever shall guard (against evil) and act aright-- they shall have no fear nor shall they grieve.
_And (as for) those who reject Our communications and turn away from them haughtily-- these are the inmates of the fire they shall abide in it.
_ Who is then more unjust than he who forges a lie against Allah or rejects His communications? (As for) those, their portion of the Book shall reach them, until when Our messengers come to them causing them to die, they shall say: Where is that which you used to call upon besides Allah? They would say: They are gone away from us; and they shall bear witness against themselves that they were unbelievers

    007.038-041

_He(Allah) will say: Enter into fire among the nations that have passed away before you from among jinn and men; whenever a nation shall enter, it shall curse its sister, until when they have all come up with one another into it; the last of them shall say with regard to the foremost of them: Our Lord! these led us astray therefore give them a double chastisement of the fire. He will say: Every one shall have double but you do not know.
_ And the foremost of them will say to the last of them: So you have no preference over us; therefore taste the chastisement for what you earned.
_To those who reject Our signs and treat them with arrogance,   the doors of heaven shall not be opened for them, nor shall they enter the garden until the camel pass through the eye of the needle: Such is Our reward for those in sin.
_They shall have a bed of hell-fire and from above them coverings (of it); and thus do We reward the unjust.

    007.042-044
_ And (as for) those who believe and do good We do not impose on any soul a duty except to the extent of its ability-- they are the dwellers of the garden; in it they shall abide.
_And We will remove whatever of ill-feeling is in their breasts; the rivers shall flow beneath them and they shall say: All praise is due to Allah Who guided us to this, and we would not have found the way had it not been that Allah had guided us; certainly the messengers of our Lord brought the truth; and it shall be cried out to them that this is the garden of which you are made heirs for what you did.
_ And the dwellers of the garden will call out to the inmates of the fire: Surely we have found what our Lord promised us to be true; have you too found what your Lord promised to be true? They will say: Yes. Then a crier will cry out among them that the curse of Allah is on the unjust.

    007.045-48
_"Those  Who hinder (people) from Allah's way and seek to make it crooked, and they are disbelievers in the hereafter.
_And between the two there shall be a veil, and on the most elevated places there shall be men who know all by their marks, and they shall call out to the dwellers of the garden: Peace be on you; they shall not have yet entered it, though they hope.
_ And when their eyes shall be turned towards the inmates of the fire, they shall say: Our Lord! place us not with the unjust
_And the dwellers of the most elevated places shall ca!l out to men whom they will recognize by their marks saying: Of no avail were to you your amassings and your behaving haughtily:

    007.049-051
_ Are these they about whom you swore that Allah will not bestow mercy on them? Enter the garden; you shall have no fear, nor shall you grieve.
_And the inmates of the fire shall call out to the dwellers of the garden, saying: Pour on us some water or of that which Allah has given you. They shall say: Surely Allah has prohibited them both to the unbelievers.
_ Who take their religion for an idle sport and a play and this life's world deceives them; so today We forsake them, as they neglected the meeting of this day of theirs and as they denied Our communications.

    007.052-053
_And certainly We have brought them a Book which We have made clear with knowledge, a guidance and a mercy for a people who believe.
_Do they wait for aught but its final sequel? On the day when its final sequel comes about, those who neglected it before will say: Indeed the messengers of our Lord brought the truth; are there for us then any intercessors so that they should intercede on our behalf? Or could we be sent back so that we should do (deeds) other than those which we did? Indeed they have lost their souls and that which they forged has gone away from them.

    007.054
_Surely your Lord is Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth in six periods of time, and He is firm in power; He throws the veil of night over the day, which it pursues incessantly; and (He created) the sun and the moon and the stars, made subservient by His command; surely His is the creation and the command; blessed is Allah, the Lord of the worlds.

    007.055-056
_Call on your Lord humbly and secretly; surely He does not love those who exceed the limits.
_ And do not make mischief in the earth after its reformation, and call on Him fearing and hoping; surely the mercy of Allah is nigh to those who do good (to others).

    007.057-058
_ And He it is Who sends forth the winds bearing good news before His mercy, until, when they bring up a laden cloud, We drive it to a dead land, then We send down water on it, then bring forth with it of fruits of all kinds; thus shall We bring forth the dead that you may be mindful.
_And as for the good land, its vegetation springs forth (abundantly) by the permission of its Lord, and (as for) that which is inferior (its herbage) comes forth but scantily; thus do We repeat the communications for a people who give thanks.

    007.059-064
_Certainly We sent Nuh to his people, so he said: O my people! serve Allah, you have no god other than Him; surely I fear for you the chastisement of a grievous day.
_ The chiefs of his people said: Most surely we see you in clear error.
_ He said: O my people! there is no error in me, but I am an messenger from the Lord of the worlds.
_ I deliver to you the messages of my Lord, and I offer you good advice and I know from Allah what you do not know.
_:What! do you wonder that a reminder has come to you from your Lord through a man from among you, that he might warn you and that you might guard (against evil) and so that mercy may be shown to you?
_But they called him a liar, so We delivered him and those with him in the ark, and We drowned those who rejected Our communications; surely they were a blind people.

And remember when He made you successors after Nuh's people and increased you in excellence in respect of make; therefore remember the benefits of Allah, that you may be successful.

    007.070
_They said: Have you come to us that we may serve Allah alone and give up what our fathers used to serve? Then bring to us what you threaten us with, if you are of the truthful ones.

    007.071
_He said: Indeed uncleanness and wrath from your Lord have lighted upon you; what! do you dispute with me about names which you and your fathers have given? Allah has not sent any authority for them; wait then, I too with you will be of those who wait.

    007.072
_So We delivered him and those with him by mercy from Us, and We cut off the last of those who rejected Our communications and were not believers.

    007.073
_And to Samood (We sent) their brother Salih. He said: O my people! serve Allah, you have no god other than Him; clear proof indeed has come to you from your Lord; this is (as) Allah's she-camel for you-- a sign, therefore leave her alone to pasture on Allah's earth, and do not touch her with any harm, otherwise painful chastisement will overtake you.

_ The chief of those who behaved proudly among his people said to those who were considered weak, to those who believed from among them: Do you know that Salih is sent by his Lord? They said: Surely we are believers in what he has been sent with

    007.076
_Those who were haughty said: Surely we are deniers of what you believe in.

    007.077

    007.078
_ Then the earthquake overtook them, so they became motionless bodies in their abode.

    007.079
_ Then he turned away from them and said: O my people I did certainly deliver to you the message of my Lord, and I gave you good advice, but you do not love those who give good advice.

    007.080
_ And (We sent) Lut when he said to his people: What! do you commit an indecency which any one in the world has not done before you?

    007.081
_ "For ye practise your lusts on men in preference to women : ye are indeed a people transgressing beyond bounds."

    007.082
_ And the answer of his people was no other than that they said: Turn them out of your town, surely they are a people who seek to purify (themselves).

    007.083
_ So We delivered him and his followers, except his wife; she was of those who remained behind.

    007.084

_ Then he turned away from them and said: O my people I did certainly deliver to you the message of my Lord, and I gave you good advice, but you do not love those who give good advice.

    007.080
_ And (We sent) Lut when he said to his people: What! do you commit an indecency which any one in the world has not done before you?

    007.081
_ "For ye practise your lusts on men in preference to women : ye are indeed a people transgressing beyond bounds."

    007.082-084
_ And the answer of his people was no other than that they said: Turn them out of your town, surely they are a people who seek to purify (themselves).
_ So We delivered him and his followers, except his wife; she was of those who remained behind.
_ And We rained upon them a rain; consider then what was the end of the guilty.

All that He said...i said..... they said.... we said... silly stories are from OT ., it is just they are worded in Arabic so Arabic nomads of that time can sing songs from those stories of Old testament ..

And the silly stories of OT continues

    Quote
    007.085
_ To the Madyan people We sent Shu'aib, one of their own brethren:   He said: O my people! serve Allah, you have no god other than Him; clear proof indeed has come to you from your Lord, therefore give full measure and weight and do not diminish to men their things, and do not make mischief in the land after its reform; this is better for you if you are believers:

    007.086
_ And do not lie in wait in every path, threatening and turning away from Allah's way him who believes in Him and seeking to make it crooked; and remember when you were few then He multiplied you, and consider what was the end of the mischief-makers.

    007.087
_And if there is a party of you who believe in that with which am sent, and another party who do not believe, then wait patiently until Allah judges between us; and He is the best of the Judges.

    007.088
_ The chiefs, those who were proud from among his people said: We will most certainly turn you out, O Shu'aib, and (also; those who believe with you, from our town, or you shall come back to our faith. He said: What! though we dislike (it)?

    007.089
_Indeed we shall have forged a lie against Allah If we go back to your religion after Allah has delivered us from It, and it befits us not that we should go back to it, except if Allah our Lord please: Our Lord comprehends all things :n His knowledge; in Allah do we trust: Our Lord! decide between us and our people with truth; and Thou art the best of deciders.

    007.090
_And the chiefs of those who disbelieved from among his people said: If you follow Shu'aib, you shall then most surely be losers

    007.091
_Then the earthquake overtook them, so they became motionless bodies in their abode.

    007.092
_Those who called Shu'aib a liar were as though they had never dwelt therein; those who called Shu'aib a liar, they were the losers.

    007.093
_So Shu'aib left them, saying: "O my people! I did indeed convey to you the messages for which I was sent by my Lord: I gave you good counsel, but how shall I lament over a people who refuse to believe!"

    007.094
_ Whenever We sent a prophet to a town, We took up its people in suffering and adversity, in order that they might learn humility.

    007.095
_Then We gave them good in the place of evil until they became many and said: Distress and happiness did indeed befall our fathers. Then We took them by surprise while they did not perceive.

    Sūrat 'Āli `Imrān verse 19

Transliteration 19:      Inna alddeena AAinda Allahi alislamu wama ikhtalafa allatheena ootoo alkitaba illa min baAAdi ma jaahumu alAAilmu baghyan baynahum waman yakfur biayati Allahi fainna Allaha sareeAAu alhisabi

Yusuf Ali 19:    The Religion before Allah is Islam (submission to His Will): Nor did the People of the Book dissent therefrom except through envy of each other, after knowledge had come to them. But if any deny the Signs of Allah, Allah is swift in calling to account.

Shakir 19:    Surely the (true) religion with Allah is Islam, and those to whom the Book had been given did not show opposition but after knowledge had come to them, out of envy among themselves; and whoever disbelieves in the communications of Allah then surely Allah is quick in reckoning.

Pickthal 19:    Lo! religion with Allah (is) the Surrender (to His Will and Guidance). Those who (formerly) received the Scripture differed only after knowledge came unto them, through transgression among themselves. Whoso disbelieveth the revelations of Allah (will find that) lo! Allah is swift at reckoning.

    Sūrat 'Āli `Imrān verse 85

    وَمَن يَبْتَغِ غَيْرَ الْإِسْلَامِ دِينًا فَلَن يُقْبَلَ مِنْهُ وَهُوَ فِي الْآخِرَةِ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ

Transliteration  :    Waman yabtaghi ghayra alislami deenan falan yuqbala minhu wahuwa fee alakhirati mina alkhasireena

Yusuf Ali 85:    If anyone desires a religion other than Islam (submission to Allah), never will it be accepted of him; and in the Hereafter He will be in the ranks of those who have lost (All spiritual good).

Shakir 85:    And whoever desires a religion other than Islam, it shall not be accepted from him, and in the hereafter he shall be one of the losers.

Pickthal 85:    And whoso seeketh as religion other than the Surrender (to Allah) it will not be accepted from him, and he will be a loser in the Hereafter.

Yes.,  surrendering to the  belief after questioning it in every angle and in every way and allowing others to question the belief.,  is indeed   "right thing to do " and it  appears to do good to  the person..

but keep in mind.. that it is still a belief

    Al-Mā'idah verse-3

Transliteration:    Hurrimat AAalaykumu almaytatu waalddamu walahmu alkhinzeeri wama ohilla lighayri Allahi bihi waalmunkhaniqatu waalmawqoothatu waalmutaraddiyatu waalnnateehatu wama akala alssabuAAu illa ma thakkaytum wama thubiha AAala alnnusubi waan tastaqsimoo bialazlami thalikum fisqun alyawma yaisa allatheena kafaroo min deenikum fala takhshawhum waikhshawni alyawma akmaltu lakum deenakum waatmamtu AAalaykum niAAmatee waradeetu lakumu alislama deenan famani idturra fee makhmasatin ghayra mutajanifin liithmin fainna Allaha ghafoorun raheemun

Yusuf Ali 3:    Forbidden to you (for food) are: dead meat, blood, the flesh of swine, and that on which hath been invoked the name of other than Allah; that which hath been killed by strangling, or by a violent blow, or by a headlong fall, or by being gored to death; that which hath been (partly) eaten by a wild animal; unless ye are able to slaughter it (in due form); that which is sacrificed on stone (altars); (forbidden) also is the division (of meat) by raffling with arrows: that is impiety. This day have those who reject faith given up all hope of your religion: yet fear them not but fear Me. This day have I perfected your religion for you, completed My favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion. But if any is forced by hunger, with no inclination to transgression, Allah is indeed Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.

Shakir 3:    Forbidden to you is that which dies of itself, and blood, and flesh of swine, and that on which any other name than that of Allah has been invoked, and the strangled (animal) and that beaten to death, and that killed by a fall and that killed by being smitten with the horn, and that which wild beasts have eaten, except what you slaughter, and what is sacrificed on stones set up (for idols) and that you divide by the arrows; that is a transgression. This day have those who disbelieve despaired of your religion, so fear them not, and fear Me. This day have I perfected for you your religion and completed My favor on you and chosen for you Islam as a religion; but whoever is compelled by hunger, not inclining willfully to sin, then surely Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

Pickthal 3:    Forbidden unto you (for food) are carrion and blood and swineflesh, and that which hath been dedicated unto any other than Allah, and the strangled, and the dead through beating, and the dead through falling from a height, and that which hath been killed by (the goring of) horns, and the devoured of wild beasts, saving that which ye make lawful (by the death-stroke), and that which hath been immolated unto idols. And (forbidden is it) that ye swear by the divining arrows. This is an abomination. This day are those who disbelieve in despair of (ever harming) your religion; so fear them not, fear Me! This day have I perfected your religion for you and completed My favour unto you, and have chosen for you as religion al-Islam. Whoso is forced by hunger, not by will, to sin: (for him) lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

Oh SHUD UP... put a soc in your mouth...  how much of it did you plagiarize?

Hmm.,  but  This is good   ..whoever is compelled by hunger, not inclining willfully to sin, then surely Allah is Forgiving, Merciful..

So I still have three more verse to read and understand the reasons for such revelations and they are verses  6:125 .,  39:22 and 61:7

    6:125 Sūrat Al-'An`ām verse 125  it says

    Quote

Transliteration : Faman yuridi Allahu an yahdiyahu yashrah sadrahu lilislami waman yurid an yudillahu yajAAal sadrahu dayyiqan harajan kaannama yassaAAAAadu fee alssamai kathalika yajAAalu Allahu alrrijsa AAala allatheena la yuminoona

    Quote
Yusuf Ali 125:    Those whom Allah (in His plan) willeth to guide,- He openeth their breast to Islam; those whom He willeth to leave straying,- He maketh their breast close and constricted, as if they had to climb up to the skies: thus doth Allah (heap) the penalty on those who refuse to believe.

Shakir 125:    Therefore (for) whomsoever Allah intends that He would guide him aright, He expands his breast for Islam,  and (for) whomsoever He intends that He should cause him to err, He makes his breast strait and narrow as though he were ascending upwards; thus does Allah lay uncleanness on those who do not believe.

Pickthal 125:    And whomsoever it is Allah's will to guide, He expandeth his bosom unto the Surrender, and whomsoever it is His Will to send astray, He maketh his bosom close and narrow as if he were engaged in sheer ascent. Thus Allah layeth ignominy upon those who believe not.

    wonderful.. great ... Hmm

...."whomsoever Allah intends that He would guide him(the man) right,  Allah will guide.,  and    whomsoever Allah  intends to  cause him(the man) to err, Allah will make him err".....

Well that is not my problem.. that is allah problem.. allah knows the best..  everything doing/done by is  allah....,      whatever

Do not let silence become your legacy.. Question everything
