All of sudden I can´t view Youtube videos. They don´t start running, the little circle in the center just keeps turning and turning and nothing happens.

I have activated show websites in comptability view to no avail.

I think it was yesterday morning I installed an update to Adobe Flashplayer. Could this be what is creating the problem ?

Anybody at one time or another had a similar problem ?

Any advice on how to remedy the situation will be appreciated.

Try different browser and let us know what browser versions you are having problems with..

Did you recently install firefox 4 or internet explorer 9 as well?

I haven't installed latest flash player, so I guess that might be causing the problem..

I have tried both IE and Firefox, different browsers - same problem.

I haven´t installed any updates to IE recently. Where Firefox is concerned, I have a vague recollection of them prompting me to update some time ago, but whether I actually did it, I can´t remember.

As for version, ehm I have forgotten where you look that up, but I am pretty sure I have the latest IE version and I haven´t had any problems viewing YT videos on that until last night.

Can you watch You Tube vids on You Tube itself, or is it just here that you're having a problem?

Press help and then about..

Also, its more about latest versions having problems, because they are supporting HTML 5.

No I can´t watch them on You Tube either.

You might need to update your adobe player. Go into the help page on You Tube and it will talk you through how to find out which version you're using and how to update.

Thanks a lot Cheetah. I have uninstalled and installed the latest version. I think it works now. At least the videos start playing, though they load awfully slowly, but I guess that could be due to heavy traffic on YouTube at the moment.

Well they are still loading very slowly, they start, the person in the video says 3 words, it stops, a minute later another 3-4 words and so on and so forth, till I loose patience and close the page. I don´t know if eventually the videos would have been fully loaded, because as I said, I loose patience.

Any further suggestions from anybody as to how I get rid of this annoying problem ? Anybody ? Osmanthus ?

Try clearing your caché.. That does wonders at times.
