thnkyu both for answering! Whyme89: I'm happy you enjoyed it Smiley Mufa9a - I can imagine and I hope it wasn't actually too confrontational. Thank you for entering! It certainly helps. Could I ask you though to remove that particular statement about the questions? I'm trying to keep discussion about the questions to a minimum at this stage, because people who still have to enter may read it and be expecting certain questions - which then biases their answers. Psychological research requires people to be 'naive' when they enter the survey. Bit anal I know, but just to make sure, would be great if you could edit that post  parrot

    Hey guys,

Data collection is going very well! We did get a large amount of responses. I have quickly gone through the answers thus far and I do find a fair number of respondents didn't fill in the survey till the end (not too many, not to worry; we still have a valid research Smiley) At the risk of sounding like a nag, I am going to again ask those of you who haven't responded yet to just take 20 minutes and do it. If we can get another 20-30 people to respond, it would strengthen the case. Please consider!

    S.

Sorry Suzanne, this thread is supposed to be more serious of course.

Ladies and gents, are there any forums over in South Asia or South East Asia or the Middle East or even the US this questionnaire could be forwarded to?

    Arab atheist forum? http://www.ladeenyon.net/forum/index.php
    Malaysian atheists: http://www.sea-atheists.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=19
Might find some over here: http://atheistforums.org/thread-4589.html
Wonder if this person lurks around here: http://pakistaniatheist.wordpress.com/who-ami-i/
Also, seems to be quite a load of ex-Muslims who convert also, possibly sizable in the US: http://www.exmuslim.com/

    Good luck Suzanne  Smiley

Btw Suzanne, if you can ... you could try and contact other university student union forums. Plenty of closet ex-Muslims exist there.
Also, might be worth trying http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/
Plenty of ex-Muslims are born when the get to uni.

Smiley I will try where I can! @BlackDog I can't actually see your current avatar. Haha I think I made a bridge with Holland which nobody else got, never mind. Those are typical Dutch girls indeed. I don't look too typically Dutch though. Too short for Dutch standards. But let's stay on topic Smiley

Now can you already give us closure about the results of this survey so far? And explain all the irrelevent questions like medical questions? I seriously think you tried to trick us into taking survey for some other purposes rather then Ex-muslim cause.

Hey Muddy, I can explain the results in June (that's when I finish my dissertation). You're free to e-mail my supervisor to check the authenticity (dr. Nicholas J.S. Gibson: njsjg2@hermes.cam.ac.uk - you can also find his profile on the official Cambridge website). I'll explain the nature of the questions and my hypotheses next week somewhere, which is when I take the survey offline and start analysing, so it doesn't hurt to talk about the questions after that point. But the actual results won't be ready till June! It takes a while to analyse and I want to do it properly. S.

Guys and gals, Suzanne is a gem! Her avatar proves it! But seriously,  her work may end up gaining some serious attention - and that increases public awareness for us.
