i'm wholeheartedly against it. In fact, I'm so against mixed marriages that I refused to even consider marrying a Saudi girl from a big-shot family, because her mother is an American (even though she converted to Isalm ages ago).

PB you seem like a really nice girl. You will find some guy out that who is nice and who will love you for who you are. As for the Egyptian guy I suggested just be friends with him.

Yeah, he seems like a nice guy, but I rather just be friends with him until I know him a lot better. Besides, I have my eye on my one professor (who is American).

I always offer people money. I guess it's the Italian in me. I'm kind hearted like that. My two ex boyfriends hung me out to dry... I finally recovered my bank account after a year and a half.

it's also an Arab thing, but i don't go around offering money- anymore! Gotta think how the offer is being perceived as well...many scenarios can branch out under that if you don't know the person very well or if the person doesn't understand where your coming from which i think is understood in this case since your randomly offering money. I would have thought you'd learned a lesson from your past two boyfriends.

i'm wholeheartedly against it. In fact, I'm so against mixed marriages that I refused to even consider marrying a Saudi girl from a big-shot family, because her mother is an American (even though she converted to Isalm ages ago).

Fake friends flatter you. Their compliments are made up. Nasty enemies criticize you harshly. They pick on you unnecessarily. Neither of them help you improve yourself. The best critic is honest and knows you exactly and the best person you can choose to follow is someone closest to you.

trouble, all kinds of it. marry your own kind, if you don't want any additional stress besides the fact of being married.

Interreligious marriages are  a pain in the neck, especially ones between a Muslim and a nonmuslim.

In marriages between a nonmuslim and Muslim two three things could happen:

    1. The wife could end up like my friend mentioned in a previous post.

2.Meddling from parents to get the wife to convert.

3.Which religion the children will be brought up in.

actaully you made a great point.

besides, in my opinion, blonds are not even particularly attractive... there's something artificial/cold about blue eyes/blond hair.

I'm alo Irish, so most of my Irish family members have the blond/hair blue eyes. I so love being Irish-Italian American. ::sarcasm::

I differ. Sometimes I wish I had light hair.

The shinyness of it makes the hairstrands visible. You look like you took effort to make your hair appear styled even if its just parted at the side. ^ look at the above pic to get what I mean.

except all that would just be less intense in such a union, and perhaps not present in some xtian+irreligious unions at all

don't worry, i'm no secret police, and even if i were, i wouldn't be interested in spying on Saudi apostates, and even assuming your religion (or lack of it) is an important issue for the ministry of interior, I won't be here to hunt down Saudi apostates... there are at least a couple of sites where Saudi apostates frequent in droves.

Depends. I know Catholics who married atheists and they converted the atheist. Actually, my mom is an atheist, always has been, but made the sacraments to marry my dad. God, I wish we didn't appease my grandma and I didn't have to make my sacraments.

I was referring to the Ministry of Interior's position to approve of Saudi to non Saudi Marriages.

But yeah, i was totally flattering myself there , too .

oh i thought you were referring to the comment i made about why i wouldn't marry a Saudi girl, whose mother is non-Saudi.

^ to curious readers, the ministry of interior doesn't forbid Saudi men from marrying Saudi women (regardless of their background).

so my response was appropriate and well-deserved. Although to be honest, your reference to the ministry of interior still makes no sense (given the context of your comment).

    make sense now ?

I didn't address you not wanting to marry a Saudi American. I hold a Similar approach when not wanting to marry a 100 % Saudi . Totally personal reasons based on experience which is not conclusive. But i'm not against 50% Saudis marrying 100% Saudis.
