I'm a 39yr old gay Londoner of Iranian origin. I've was raised by observant Shi'a Muslims & was forced to attend mosque & study qur'anic text every day which, from as far back as i can recall, it bored me to death. the lure of hedonistic delights (& my total lack of belief) won me over. I am a complete atheist.

Hmmm...Let me ponder that. My atheism is absoulte, in a 'we're just molecules' kind of way. I'm not expecting any cozy (or Hellish) afterlife. It's just this.

Thanks for the offer Muddy. I lived in NY for a few years in the mid 90s. Loved it! My part of London pisses me off & guess why?...To many effing Muslims!!

I am in Michigan. Muslims here are few but have very strong community. They are quiet nut-jobs too.. Although most of them are highly educated, but because they only socialize with muslims, they all act like FOBs even if they are here for more then 20 years.

I just had to check what a FOB is on Uban Dictionary. I'm surrounded by FOBs!! Me & my boyfriend (who is English) have been at the recieving end of many homophobic comments & ominous threats by local Muslim youths. It's become too much for us & we are in the process of leaving London. It's very depressing, actually.

Oh, but how exactly did they find out about you? Do you hang out among them? Do call police, and make reports! You can leave, but if I were you, would rather make sure these things get punished for their non-sense than leaving my home.

Two men living together with a little dog is a bit of a give away! Increasing homophobia in London is something many of my friends have noticed in the last decade. Also, after living here all my life (apart form the few years in NY), i fancy a change of pace. We're moving to Brighton. Very nice place for us homos!!
