I doubt so about being blasphemous. Light music started to incorporate in naats for atleast last 15 years..

It looks more like done in India. In Pakistan, she would have been dead by now. The music is copied from "aisa jadoo dala ray" from movie Khaki.

Interesting comment under the video. Seems like its an example of grassroots Indian spiritual pluralism and tolerance.

This is not a naat but a song in praise of Alauddin Ali Ahmed Kaliyari aka Sabir Kaliyari a Sufi Saint successor to Baba Fareed (1188–1280) , first in the Sabiriya branch of Chishti Order.

His dargah at Kaliyar village is one of the most revered shrine for Muslims in India and is equally revered by Hindus .

Secondly the singer is a hindu girl named Anupma and hence has nothing top do with Barelvi sect.

    Others aren't very happy, though.

Islam never innovates.  It only takes non-Muslim creations and Islamizes them.

We had "Islamic" rap and "Islamic" hip-hop, so I won't be surprised if we now see "Islamic" Indian music or dance music.

All of which is technically haram btw.

Haram in Deobandi/Wahabi sects. Berailvi and shias allow it.

But anyways, she is hindu, so its fine.. but we can easily piss muslims off with this.
