Shouldn't mods hide the email of Claire before identity of Claire has been confirmed?

Yes, check intro section. Go through intro's of Ex-muslims. If you like someone's intro, talk to them about it.

There are many people here who weren't born in a muslim family. So I don't really think they would be good candidates for this because they probably didn't face troubles with family renouncing islam.

    Hi Claire,

    Welcome to the forum.  victory

I have googled your name and found many results including this video on YouTube.  I have also seen that you are on facebook.  One thing is missing though... I googled the email address you gave and found no results.  How do I know you are who you say you are?  grin12  You could just have created that email account so as to impersonate the real Claire-Nadine Ijsbrandij.  I am sure I am being overly secure/paranoid, and you really are who you say you are.   grin12

Excuse our paranoia and suspicion.  We apostates are understandably edgy about revealing personal info about ourselves to someone claiming to be a journalist or whatever.  Also, I am just curious whether you follow any particular religion?  Christianity? Judaism?

Welcome Claire. I'm sure there will be quite a few of us interested in helping you, however it would be nice if you could reveal more about what exactly you are after and why.

In all seriousness, Claire (if it really is Claire Ijsbrandij), is doing us a favour by reporting on the issue of the difficulties faced by apostates of Islam (even if she is only a journalism student making a video for YouTube).  The BBC (and other media) are all too keen to report on the trend of white women converting to Islam, but unkeen to tread on the issue of difficulties faced by apostates.  They don't want to offend Muslims.  Roll Eyes

I don't think this account is an imposter. I think it really is her. However, for anyone who is nervous it would be easy enough to do more thorough checks before meeting for an interview. I wouldn't worry too much.

    A thousand greetings Claire.

A curious name you have. Where do your ancestors hail from? No need to reach back as far as the African Savannah. Just your ma and pa will do. Sounds like you're Scandinavian. I want you.

    LOL

Is that you kenan? Vintage stuff.

True this. But why do you think it's so?

True this. But why do you think it's so?

You ask: Why do the BBC report on the trend of white women converting to Islam?  I dunno.  Because it's newsworthy, perhaps.  I don't deny that it is news worthy, even though it gives dawahgandists plenty of dawah ammunition.  The psychology of white women converting to Islam has been discussed many times on this forum and I will not go into it.  The real question is: why aren't the bloody BBC bloody reporting on the difficulties/threats/ostracism/shunning faced by those who leave Islam?  Do the multiculties wield that much influence in the UK? finmad

    @Teapot

Are you saying the exotic pull of the East ensorcells not just the politically innocent Sally, but the bigwigs of the press too? That's a grave charge brother. Dangerous words. Why doesn't the equally exotic darky who deserts Islam for saner shores grip the TV execs no less? Let them put Two-Pizzas-Teapot on the evening telly to hold forth on the sins of Allah's gang. That would make gripping viewing and half the right-wing blogs will cover it. Picture the scene: A glorious image of our man with the gap toothed smile striking a defiant pose with clenched fist in the air featured on no less a website than JihadWatch. Classic. So why the paucity of media interest? Answer: Because Teapot is too much of a pussy to smile for the cameras where his former Jihadist mates might catch him. Just observe his petrified noises above to Claire as though a cat on whose tail someone had stepped. Pathetic.

    Don't be silly.

    Hi Claire,

I left Islam when the psychological demands of being a male exotic dancer, fire fighter, and neurosurgeon caused me to closely examine the cognitive dissonance being necessitated by my beliefs. It seemed incomprehensible to me that Allah would bestow upon me wealth, intelligence, bravery, good looks, and legendary sexual prowess when so many people in the world had so little.

I would be more than happy to meet you for drinks at the nudist colony I live at to tell you more of my story.

    fuck you
