My timeless wisdom: Let the GOP run these country yokels like Palin out of town and field sure-fire babes for the presidential contest like Condi with brains to match. That lassie will scatter the mind of Precedent Obama whilst beating the feminised, sissified, pansified liberals at their own game: The first black woman to hold the top job, two birds with one stone. Do this my conservative friends and the republic will be saved from the likes of Allen-Gangster-Rapping-West and his degraded ilk. Do this and we can be sure to retain power in the hands of the civilised aristocracy. And don’t you just wanna see more of this action?

    I want to start by saying that I go through my life in USA almost without any need to use words black or white to label people.     Both parties are equally cynical and want most votes, which means that they need to reach out to all colors of voters. The reason Republicans are more obsessed with illegal immigrants is because, unlike democrats, they don't care about paying extra few bucks to a native white American to mow their lawn instead of using a cheaper illegal laborer from Mexico.

    Remember Condoleezza Rice? Do you know why she's a Republican? Because when her dad wanted to vote for the Democratic party, he was refused that right by democrats for being black and so joined Republicans who did not push him away, long before issue of Mexicans arose.

    I have no clue about British politics, but it seems that the parallels are not there when it comes to race.


    ALM where do you think the Southern Dems(aka Dixiecrats) went to once the Civil Rights Act that they so vehemently opposed became law? The Dixiecrats ended up leaving for the GOP and became the backbone of their Southern base.

    You have good points, DH, but why you chose the form is beyond me. I am leaning towards joining someone I'd normally disagree with in condemning you for the form of the post. Of course, you could say that bad English is not limited to any race Smiley and Ebonics as a language is a complete joke, comparable to Afrocentric understanding of history, which could have only been conceived in the land of Jerry Springer.     Thats, I didn't have time to post this.  For some odd reason  I didn't see race as having anything to do with the issue or context at all, but DH jumped right to it.
    So once again I'm left with the classic Irish man's dilemma, do I eat the potato or do I let it ferment so I can drink it later?

    Be mindful against joining the DH baiting. For one thing because I actually find his post surprisingly funny. I used to think he was completely mirthless, but the guy’s amusing when he wants to be. Show some encouragement. Check out his blooming sense of humour and blow him a kiss. And for another because I don’t enjoy the spectacle of a guy mobbed. I believe men should settle their quarrels by duelling in the grand manner, mano-a-mano, not by forming gangs to rush each other. I believe that feuding is an art that should be observed with every decorum. Kicking a man that is down is not impressive.

    A good many times now I’ve butted heads with DH and look forward to many more yet, but I do not recommend one carry differences over into different threads. Sez me: A new thread, a new slate. In one respect I admire DH. He doesn’t seek the reassuring warmth of the herd, doesn’t covet the friendly wink of the eye and the pat on the back. He speaks the truth as he sees it knowing it won’t make him popular and lets the rest be damned.  A proverb of Roman antiquity commands: Fiat justitia ruat caelum. May justice be done though the heavens fall. DH is the last Roman.

    The man’s got balls and, having got a pair myself, I like to dangle them a tad.  Be like DH. That may alarm you somewhat, but why should it? You boys already have something in common: No avatars. So why not dangle too?

    Sorry for not replying instantaneously - see what happened is I typed a response 3 minutes after you posted ^ and then realized that my rambling was nothing more than a waste of your time, deleted it and repressed the memory of the whole thing. I naturally agree with you, why did God give us testicles if not to dangle them? LOL

    Your analysis of DH otherwise seems to be flawless.
