Well hey, I want the show/hide tags anyway as the standard code tag display of url's borks iPhone/Android despite them not being actually linked within code tags. Those browsers read them as a url regardless and refuse to wrap them. No way would I want to try and arrange operational "Click this bugger to show the bluddy url" links inside BBC code tags. That way lies madness. Seems to me we might as well just use those tags to deal with everything. Very quick and easy for people to use.

Ok peeps, we now have a lazy way of posting raw url's (or any other code) without screwing page layout for the mobile users. Picture is attached. Example of how they work in the post above.

Of course, you can use these for all sorts of things, not just hiding long url's. You can't bomb people wth pix though because only the image link will show, not the image itself.

It'll probably break the post width on mobile, but if it bugs anyone, or if one of the staff see it, a mod or admin can just edit it to wrap the link in the tags. Only takes about ten seconds so no problem. IOW, would be a good idea to wrap any you plan on posting, but if you forget it's not really a big deal.
