Hi,

In the rules of this forum it says:

we don't expect everyone to be perfect angels all the time, but we do expect you to make an effort.

It is fine to attack a person's ideas but not the person themselves.
Using people's life experiences as a weapon to beat them up is particularly frowned on.
We cordially suggest that you refrain from trying this little trick.

If you get involved in a flame war with another member or members the staff will not be interested in "who started it".
If you want the staff to be sympathetic to your position please try to refrain from responding to abuse with more abuse.
Another thing to note is that this forum has an "Ignore" feature. If you don't like someone's posts there is no need for you to read them.
There is also no need for you to make a point of telling everyone who you are ignoring. They can see for themselves.

I have tried to abide by this rule as much as possible. However, I've seen 'Q-Man' repeatedly make personal remarks/insults, calling people stupid, dim witted, and various other things. I've reported a few of these posts and have seen no action taken on this so far. Is this because old members are allowed to overstep the rules?

Recently he has made personal insults towards me in his posts here, here, and here.

I select my targets fairly carefully, and I don't insult just anyone.And yes, I do bully people who support real-world bullies with their boots on people's necks, as you do. Fact is you didn't start a thread about it when I was doing it to someone else, but only when it got under your skin. Don't pretend you are sticking up for anyone else-- you are pressuring the forum's staff to punish me so that YOU don't have to deal with it. You could at least be honest about your motivations.

donatelo, after the reports you made in another thread, there was at least 1 instance of Q-Man being asked (by osmanthus) to play nice.

At this point, I'll ask that Q and donatelo, please put each other on ignore if you do not agree with each other's views and it is getting personal.

Q, take it easy on the personal stuff, please.

donatelo, as the part of the rules you quoted says, things are bound to get heated around here as our main topics of discussion are around religion and politics, the 2 most controversial topics on which everyone has an opinion. So, I'd advise you also to consider using the Ignore button; a lot of people use it from time to time. Thanks.
