So once again I'm left with the classic Irish man's dilemma, do I eat the potato or do I let it ferment so I can drink it later?

I hope it's a new way  of debating.  I'm getting sick of the whole Pedophilia, Prove God Exists, and just blatent rude and stupid remarks about Quran.  Although I understand it's gonna be about the Quran and the Prophet, I just hope theres another angle that has not been really discussed.

You dont know that.  I like civil discussions with civil people and he from the beginning said he hope to have a polite discussion and then there were unnecessary comments...not fair.  Who knows, he might learn something from us and we may learn something from him.

I agree, logical mind shouldn't have jumped in with his nonsense, but bailey did respond to other comments about islam but completely ignored the hadith muddy posted

I dont think Muddy shouldve post that racist crap from the Quran on the Intro thread.  Basic questions should have been just fine, he is a new member here and we still shouldve been welcoming.  Yes he also ignored my questions and i'm still waiting.

I must admit my Spidey senses are tingling somewhat.

He says he is currently on a Tablighi Jamaat and yet is also on the internet posting on an ex-Muslim forum - to give Da'wah of course.

Tablighi Jamaat must have changed since I went on it (30 years ago), coz they wouldn't allow you to get involved in matters of the Dunya like that.

The emphasis is all on 'Ibadah, learning about Islam and Da'wah and you basically make 'itikaaf (seclusion) in the mosque. I find it odd to think he could pop off to an internet cafe.

Maybe things have changed since my time and they now supply them with Laptops to make Da'wah - and internet connection at the Mosque.

    Hmmm....

Offcourse, times have changed. They do have to keep up with the technology these days.. Most of the mosques in US and Canada have their websites, and if the management of the mosque is educated, they try to keep up with the technology.

Tablighi Jamaat are pretty traditional though - not the sort of organisation I would have imagined would move much with the times.

I could be wrong of course.

Not in North America. Everyone uses internet here regardless of how traditional a person is. That's the only possible way for them to keep in touch with their traditional culture among infidels.  dance

I reckon he's a troll on the balance of probabilities.  2 main reasons

    1)  His OP was telling us how this site is banned in many countries - how does he know, I doubt as a tableeqi he follows this site, nor goes round the world.  As a muslim why would he feel the need to tell us something that does not reflect well on his own bunch of cronies? Unless of course he wanted to justify his use of a proxy

    2) His focusing on the insult, rather than doing what he came here for.  If so, he must have loved the stir it caused.
