It is one thing to be against drugs because your religion forbids their use (of course most muslims are hypocrites and still drink tea, smoke cigarettes etc which alter one's state of consciousness as well as any other drug).
However, it is quite another to try and say that not only are you making an arbitrary decision but that your decision is somehow objectively correct because you fear the harm that might come to you and the supposed early death that may result. One is reminded of the story of Abraham where he is afraid of death and god asks him what kind of a person is afraid of meeting his friend? So, muslims, why do you fear an early death? Don't you want to meet your god and revel in his brilliance?

This study seems like a good reason to legalize heroin.

And lol at the study. Alcohol more dangerous than heroin, of course it is it is used more. Next the study will tell us that bath tubs are more dangerous than bees.

So once again I'm left with the classic Irish man's dilemma, do I eat the potato or do I let it ferment so I can drink it later?

I agree, Heroin should be legal. All drugs should be legal to allow the government to tax drugs and also sell soft/approved versions of them so that drug cartels and third world dictatorships are denied a vital source of income.
