    hmmm , the preference for a 7:10 waist to hip ratio in a woman is thought to be more biological than cultural. i don't know whether that claim is truly scientific or not, but its made by scientists of some type.

    in a similar vein, i personally can't rule out the possibility that the preference for lighter skin has a component wired into the brain via genetic coding.

    i don't know and we probably won't be doing experiments at the genetic level to find this out, but i think its a possibility.

    Anyone know if this preference for light skin has always existed? In Hindu mythology, the god Krishna is described as being as a very handsome dark-skinned fellow. Draupadi, who is the wife of the five Pandavas, is also described as being a beautiful dark-skinned woman.

    That's because that preference seems to be fairly constant from culture to culture.  The same can hardly be said for light skin, or there would be no market for fake tan.

    theres is no doubt that the girls i see day to day in india make an effort to lighten their skin tone. sometimes the results are rather shocking. i saw an older FB album of a cute chick in my office and the difference in a few years was startling.

    this sort of make up routine is common throughout all of the islamic countries , most women don't know how to apply make up properly and they end up looking like ghosts .

    side story : did you know that when i was growing up the word "lipstick" was taboo and never to be said inside the house ( sunni family )

    I've always been more drawn and attracted to brown girls. I don't exclude or discriminate, I'm an equal-opportunist lover but just saying darker pigmentation makes my engine whir, sputter and roar faster. It goes from 0 to 1 in 3 seconds. Milli - seconds that is.

    Maybe my DNA is fucked up?
