Youre doing the same too - getting offended by the fact that they are so easily offended

@ car313 is AP=India? I won't comment on the situation in AP. But why are you mixing issues? The problem at your place has nothing to do with Hinduism or religion. It's purely
a senseless struggle for territory. IMHO the biggest mistake committed when India became a republic was to divide it on the basis of the language spoken in a particular area. That was a big,big.. blunder and we are reaping the bad effects of the same -regional partisan politics.
What are you going on and on about Manu Dharma Shastra? Tell me honestly how many lay Hindus have read it,apart from a few pundits possibly? Do you really believe it controls the day to day lives of common Hindus? As for your brahmin witch hunt,if you are honest enough you should realize the so called lower castes are the new brahmins, thanks to the reservation policy of the government.
I won't say anything about the past based on what I read or what I have read.
Because my standards about accepting something as real evidence of the truth is very high.History, unfortunately is time and again gang raped by evil people to promote their own agenda. How can we know that what we hear or have heard is the truth? Objectiveness is a very rare and precious quality.
What all of us, Hindus,Muslims, hate filled atheists, hate free atheists, secular humanists[they come in only one flavour-hate free!],Christians and all the others who form the beautiful mosaic that's India, can do is ,DO SOMETHING POSITIVE IN WHATEVER WAY WE CAN TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE NATION INSTEAD OF PLAYING THE BLAME GAME AD INFINITUM. ASSUMING THAT FOR SOME REASON WE ARE NOT ABLE TO CONTRIBUTE,THE LEAST WE CAN DO IS KEEP OUR TRAPS SHUT AND AVOID DISCOURAGING PEOPLE THAT ARE DOING REAL GOOD WORK.
The right wing extremists are a drop in the ocean, and I don't foresee an increase in their numbers, because of the real nature of the Indian common man. I have great faith in him, because at heart he's secular without knowing it! If he's religious he's willing to accept that there are many ways by which'god' can be reached. No obsession with the one and only one GOD[a legacy of polytheism i guess!].Religious bigotry in modern times is a very recent phenomenon--machinations of dirty politicians and crooked religious leaders.
The saving grace is the resilience of the people, they come to their senses very fast in most of the places and go about their daily lives when they realize their stupidity.
To the dismay of these Hindu wing nuts, one of the big shots of an extremist Hindu organizations (RSS), has been indicted in a case of bomb blast that killed people
That's a cause for great joy,so let us celebrate it and screw those nuts! To me he was a criminal who killed innocent human beings, hence deserved to be punished. I am religion blind and seeing people killed is not my idea of fun.
