Hmm, yeah. I MIGHT have hypothyroidism and antidepressants add to the low libido. I've always had one, though.

How long have you been taking antidepressants? Was it around the same time you hit puberty?

To be honest, being asexual is nothing to be ashamed of, and it is great that you know you don't want to become sexually active. A lot of people in life don't know what they want.

Nah, I got put on antidepressants last year, but I was suicidal since I was 10 (my mom still thinks depression is a bullshit diagnosis because she believes depression doesn't exist and people are just cry babies). A few times between ages 13-17 I was pulled out of school 6 times to be on suicide watch.

My mom was VERY sexually active. She takes issue in my asexuality. I hate it. =\ But, it's who I am and I'm not changing it.

Do you think your mum is right about depression?

Others have bought this up already, but how sure are you that your (already low?) libido is practically non existant because of the medication you're on?

No, I don't. Her mother was morbidly depressed and became an alcoholic. Alcoholism runs on her dad's side of the family. She's an alchy too.

I was only put on medication last year. All throughout my teenage years when other people had raging hormones, I didn't.
