  • Bug with ignore/show on Chrome
     OP - October 02, 2010, 06:40 PM

    Osmanthus, Aziz,

There seems to be a problem with showing a post properly that has been hidden because you put the user on ignore. (Tongue)  It displays fine on FireFox so it must be a problem with how Google Chrome is interpreting your JavaScript code.

You only get one line and a vertical scrollbar allowing you to scroll line by line.

    Here's a screenshot when I click 'show':

Why do you want to show a post you're ignoring anyway? What's the point of "ignoring" someone if you're going to read their posts? Tongue

*thinks maybe I should just ditch the hide/show code instead*

ETA: And it would be a css/markup problem. From vague memory I suspect it has inline css setting auto overflow on that div.

We've blocked DH, but we still can't resist the urge to read his dumbfuck paranoid delusional posts.

Hey I could change it so that when you click "Show" it displays a message saying "No you can't read this so eff off."  bunny

Ha. What you really need is an option to enable/disable the show-post link. Like an ignore-the-ignore button. Tongue

Then perhaps an ignore-the-ignore-the-ignore button might come in useful too. Or people could just ignore people's posts without using the forum software. Tongue

It is not a high priority bug to fix.  But I am reporting it for your benefit. parrot

It's not for my benefit since I never use the ignore function. Wink
