I'm not going to get into this with you if you can't seperate these issues
Why would I artificially separate these issues? Pastor Jones is on record as hating homosexuals and Muslims, and has made provocative statements insulting both. He's a religious bigot.
Like it or not, there are millions of Muslims in this country who have no interest in sharia law, don't keep their wives segregated from male society or in burquas, and just want to go to work, raise their kids, send them to school-- ya know, normal shit like 90% of Americans, and when some religious wingnut goes out of their way to insult them because they believe in a different superstition than he does, that's just religious intolerance, bigtory, and hatred, period. Blind Muslim-bashing, not principled criticism of Islam. It should surprise no one a man like that also has it in for gays and other minority groups.
This is a guy you are upset that Obama, Clinton and Petreaus are denouncing for his provocative act of religious hatred and intolerance. Forget about all the other evidence he's a hateful bigot against minority groups besides just Muslims (which is fucking undeniable or else he wouldn't be burning Qurans for the sole purpose of insulting their religion). Again, I ask you, why? Why are you upset at people denouncing him?
This will end up with me looking like I'm defending homophobia and racism, which I stand against vehemently.
Or you can just admit you were wrong from the beginning when you called those who denounced the book-burning and the pastor "liberal pansies", and equated the denunciations with some sort of surrender or appeasement to radical Islam.
