    Aziz, Osmanthus, etc,

How do I search/filter for all the posts by a specific user within a particular thread/topic?

I think I know how to do it, but it ain't working. no

For example, when I try to search for all my posts in Screwball's intro thread, I get the following:
(I've taken the topic id from the url.)

I think you need a larger word to search for i.e. more that a single character.

Try adding more characters in that box & I think it might work.

No, I was using the '*' as a wildcard, to mean search everything by this user.

thats what i meant.  Problem is that its a single character, and I dont think that box allows single characters.  Try using more characters in that box & see if it works - that should at least rule this out if it does.

It's not giving me that red error message at the top, but it's giving me zero results instead; and I'm sure there should be results for what I searched.

    Wildcard won't work I think.

Sorry, I don't have the nerves atm to look into this.

    No problem, Aziz.  hugs

    @Osmanthus:
If wildcards won't work, then there is no way of filtering a thread to only the posts by a specific user.  Undecided

There are a number of questions here:

    1.  Does searching within a thread/topic work?

    2.  Does searching by a specific user work?  clearly yes yes

    3.  Does the * wildcard work?  seems not, so is there an alternative?  Undecided

    4.  Do all the above work simultaneously?

I'm not desperate for an answer.  So just chillax.  Smiley

Dunno. Haven't ever tried it actually. Will have a play with it tonight. Smiley
