Don't quite follow you - do you mean you're exceeding the allowed amount of characters for a post?

It's a known IE8 bug. Every time SMF tries to include a fix for it Microsoft go and change IE again and break the fix. Use Compatibility Mode for this site if you're using IE8. That's the only thing I know of that will work consistently. Told ya that before. If Microsoft have gone and broken that too then I'll see if we can find another solution to their stupidity.

Or use a real browser. That'll work.

Looks like we might be able to implement a permanent solution for this (and no, I don't mean by shooting IE users). I'll look into it later. In the meantime stick to Compat Mode.

Yes, there is a maximum post size, which is why my bio took 4/5 posts to post, but that's not what the problem is.
