    allat begum, aap ki choice achi hai.

    Kuch hi roz qabl, mein apnay khandan keh humra Lahore, Abbottabad, Murree, Islamabad ki sair kar keh aya tha. Lahore mein mera kuch deyr meray ik musician-cousin keh saath waqt guzra. Woh ik asal musician ban gaya hai, Jim Morrison uss ka idol hai aur woh charsi bhangi ban gaya hai. Mein ney bhi chand charas (weed) ka chaskhay liye (first time in my life...and it felt gooooooood), aur mill kar khoob ganay gaey.

    I took the lead vovals when he started playing 'Akele Hain' from Qiyamat Sey Qiyamat Tak on his guitar. Such a pleasant song.  Afro

    waise mubarak ho chars pinay pe - maine bhi kaafi chars pi hai pakistan mein.

    waah, mazaa aa gaya. main abhi dakshin bharat mein hoon. itni hindi / hindustani mujhe poore din mein naseeb nahin hoti  Afro angrez banta jaa raha hoon.

    is there a secret to converting urdu words to english - you guys seem to have it down to a tea, but whenever I write the english transliteration it sounds nothing like what it should  Huh?

    You see, "meh" the word I used for "I" sound more like the urdu word than "mai"

    Thats why I dont understand how this is done - is there an official english transliteration that urdu speakers use, or is it just guesswork?

    North = Shumaal
    South = Junoob
    East = Mashriq
    West = Maghreb

    Yeh alfaaz Arabi aur Farsi mein bhi istemaal hotay hain.

    Lol. You need practice when it comes to writing in roman urdu. I learned it by carefully annunciating the pronunciations, sounds, and closest letter combinations whilst chatting with friends on MSN as a teen.  Cheesy

    Takreeban. Urdu mein kaafi alfaaz Farsi aur Arbi sey liye gaey thay. Faiz Ahmed Faiz ki aik nazam 'Umeed-e-Seher' key bol hi aap sunn lain (English subtitles key saath takeh patah chalay keh alfaaz hain kaun say):

    Hindustani zyada tar bolee jati hai, laikin schooloun mein kaafi hadd tak paak urdu parhhai jaati hai.
