Anyone thinking about starting a channel & getting a youtube presence?

Its a great way of having fun, learning a new skill(s) & raising the profile of this forum.

We need more of you guys/girls!

Lets post new ideas for videos here, in case anyone is looking for something & they get inspired?

My 2 pennies (or 3):

Video idea 1 - Argumentum ad populum - There doesnt seem to be a good video on the power & the brilliance of the exclusive Islamic meme (if you havent seen this link already then something along these lines http://www.citizenwarrior.com/2007/10/terrifying-brilliance-of-islamic.html)

Video idea 2 - Banu Qurayza incident (see blog in my sig)

Video idea 3 - This has been mentioned others before - but some kind of Muslim Monty Python-Life of Brian vid, personally I thought it wa quite powerful and a starting point whereby it became publically acceptable to mock Christianity

We could do with more videos about hadith's which specifically demonstrate something that Muhammed wants/believes of his own personal (non-islam related will) , which also just 'happens' to be in the Quran.

Examples would be certain superstitions, magic , things which are halal/haram, rules of treaties/wars etc etc.

Muslims don't really take Ibn Ishaq's sira too seriously, but Ibn Qayyim states in Zaad al-Ma'ad that defensive warfare was legislated for him against the pagans, and then, offensive warfare. It's quoted by the more pro-Jihad commentators and scholars, notably Sayyid Qutb.

Ofcourse not, because he demonstrates a reality that contradicts pretty much everything muslims consider Muhammed to be.
It's not for them anyway, its for potential converts, non muslims and essentially....people who dont huddle in the corner screaming when introduced to objectivity.

tbh, i dont think anyone should. he wrote his accounts of events a hundered years after Muhammad died (he was born about 70 years after Muhammad died). In addition to not witnessing the events first hand, he also would have had to rely on gathering his information from oral traditions (not written accounts) from second or third hand sources (or even more vague than this) - when we enter the realm of hadiths, i think the wisest option is not to trust anything - no professional historian would take them seriously.
