thanks z10 for replying. How do these men cope with their
religious convictions as muslims, and also, do they live in fear
of their lives because of the koranic punishment for male/male
relationships? How far can they take it before they reap the
consequences of their desires and preferences?
I find it such a shame, that any human being, who really cannot
help the way they feel towards the same sex, have to live
covertly because of both social and relgious "norms". But doesnt
their society condone their open affections with the same sex,
i.e. holding hands, etc.
Also in that series, they did a test with men, who were hetrosexual
and had no problems with men/men relationships and also with
men who were homophobic. The test was to measure their arousal
response to a gay video. The results were, the ones with no problem
with gays were not very aroused by it. However, the homophobic men
in MOST cases were definitely aroused by the video, but insisted they
were not, even though the measured results indicated they were.
Then i think about muslim women getting stoned, whipped, imprisoned,
divorced and their children taken away from them for ALLEGED infidelity/adultry.
