"BANNED" label for banned troll members

Is it possible to have a label on banned members, so that we know who is a ba~~nne~~d memmber?

For examble, we don't need to reply to any of digbug's posts who was justifiably banned very recently, because I see a "Banned" label instead of his "ex-Muslim" label under his user name, wouldn't that be cool?. Especially, after several months, you would forget who was banned and who was not. Probably if not done auto, some modes can type that in manually.

And for temp bans, can we have a label that says, "Banned until Sep 2010"? Please?

That way I know who is banned so that I don't bother reply to an old post of theirs...

ETA: I think we don't have many banned members so propably if you just replace their avatars with a banned logo or something an image that had a banned text. Like this:

Can you please tell us why you would rather reply to a post of some one who would never reply back to you because he is banned?

I can see who voted against it. It's not even a regular member, so it wouldn't matter to them I guess.

We have discussed this in the admin section and I believe we are putting something in place that will show who is banned.

Oh I realized that I said he is banned, while I should have said he/she is banned. But again, do have female banned members? Or is it prevalent amongst males?

Rashna. Who btw never removed me from her ignore list. Which is good, I have to have at least one member ignoring me. Otherwise I'd feel left out

Its a good idea, but the banned avatar should be more insulting than the one you suggested. Something like this...

Nah, we only ban asshats so it should be insulting. Or maybe we could have different avatars for different banning reasons. One for sock puppets, one for trolls, etc. Suggestions welcome...

Yeah we already talked about this and were going to do it. Just a matter of making a couple of avatars but I forgot.

I reckon one for idjuts and one for self bans. Come to think of it, the self ban one might be better as a badge so people don't have to reload their avs when they get back.

good idea - that way if a banned troll has been flaming and hurling racist insults like Digdug, then a random reader wont be turned away from this site thinking that its typical behaviour
