    I wonder if it's possible to get the NSFW sub forum removed from showing up in the "recent unread topics" section?

    On another forum I sometimes use, the NSFW section can only be accessed by actually entering it, that way not even the threads that are being discussed show up for regular members in the new topics section.  Thinking hard

    Not read those threads you mention. I simply avoid any threads that don't look like the sort of thing I want to discuss.

    I personally don't like (what I consider) rude threads. Of course I enjoy joking around - but I believe the finer details of sexual habits and preferences are matters that should remain in the bedroom between consenting partners and not dissected on a public forum.

    That's just me and I know I can be a bit old fashioned and prudish at times so I am certainly not suggesting any sort of censorship.

    My advice is just ignore threads you don't like.

    Hiding threads would likely represent a pita from the tech side. Better to force people to prepend [NSFW] to their thread titles. Mods can rename them and remind thread starters if this guideline isn't followed, but people will soon get into good habits, ime. That way people can avoid NSFW posts from the recent posts sidebar if they wish.

    You see Hassan, I am using my several computers at home where other family members have access to. I don't mind they see the COEM forums as I started to freely discuss religion in front of every body I know now. Did not reveal in details to anybody except my wife about me not considering myself a Muslim any longer, but I would feel uncomfortable they see these kind of threads. Although, I understand that it's not of my business what other people discuss or talk about, I would rather have the pages that show only the ones I am comfortable with.

    Of course I tried, logging off and in, but it driven me crazy. LOL

    Besides, I am just ranting, and I guess it is not really necessary.  Afro

    A lot of the stuff in there appears to be SFW - mislabelled sub-forum? I'm not familiar with the capabilities of SMF but I tend to prefer workflow improvements over technical hacks generally.

    Think it would be a good idea and I would like to use it on the music thread.  Lots of music I think is crap on there. 

    Few introduce their music videos and now that I only see links and there is no embed function with IE, I am forced to click on them, opens up in youtube, then I realise its another bit of heavy metal junk and move to the next link  finmad

    It's not outdated, it's stable. v2 is currently only available as a Release Candidate (final stages of pre-release).
