    Why does the alternative text (tooltips) for the the recent topics links on the sidebar not show?

    They work fine on the main forum page like this:

    I don't think it's to do with the browser we are using.  This is a little feature that has not been implemented yet.  The "title" attribute in the hyperlink tag is not there.  It should be easy to implement though.

    Yeah, well, I took a quick look at the file that builds that list, but it doesn't look like it can be fixed quickly without wading through all the shit first. Can't be bothered with that atm. If anybody comes up with a patch I'll be glad to apply it.

    Never was part of the software and I've never missed it since all it does is show you the name of the thread, which you can already see without the tooltip.

    It doesn't show you the full name of the thread, just the number of characters that will fit onto a single line of the sidebar, and then it shows "...".  Otherwise, of course, the tooltip is not necessary.

    Will you please take a look at the IE not showing youtube previews or titles any more, all we get is an external link.  Its really pissing me off.  Not asking for anything new, just what we had before and even after the fix. 

    Somehow the last update just threw it all to pot.

    Aziz - can you take a look at this please.

    I got so used to the way it was before, it seemed to be working at one stage perfectly before the last update.  I assume its not just me, but all IE users, so it would be great if you were able to fix it.

    I told you I can't test with IE8. I was able to test with IE6 (!) and it worked! How stupid is that?

    Tell you what: Look in the status bar for error messages after a page with videos finished loading. Double-click the status bar and a dialog box should pop up detailing the error. Paste the stuff here. Smiley

    I can try installing IE8 again I suppose. Bloody thing tends to misbehave on my box so I am currently running IE7 as default (since I only use it for testing anyway Tongue ).

    Well, what do you know? IE needed some special attention, because it's retarded and doesn't support a certain function ("indexOf" for Arrays.)

    Should be fixed now.
