  • Really frustrating reply box bugs (!) (Sorry for the emotion!)
     OP - May 15, 2010, 10:13 AM

Now it might just be me so does anyone else have these problems?

    ----

As I am typing this right now, the cursor is blinking way too fast in the reply box. Something is inherently wrong with the javascript set up I think. Posting a new topic is bearable, there is some lag in typing chracters but trying to quick reply ot reply is very annoying.

Following issues with reply and quick reply
    • When quoting someone, the quote can appear or sometimes dissapear. Sometimes it appears in the quick reply box, then the browsers takes you to the top of the page and then down to the quickbox with the quote removed lol!
    • When highlighitng and cutting or pasting or something typing, the viewpoint goes back to the top of the text, even when the cursor is right at the end and out of view in the reply box.
    • The browser hangs! Not only can't I type, I can't even change tabs because the browser is running on overdrive to some part of the javascript I suspect. Lost seconds of my life arrgh!

    • I have this problem in both IE8 and FF

Interesting, what browser do you use BerberElla?

Seems the issue isn't even with SMF v1.1.11 but Microsoft ...

    HO

In the menu bar there is a button called functions (I hope - I am translating from Danish) under which there is a drop menu. One of the lines is : Comptability showing, try clicking that and see if that does not solve your problem.

For a split second I read that as "No problems in my end".... I blame you people. Since I've joined this site I've started to see raunchy references in everything.
