Look, if I was not worried about being assassinated, then I would have also proadly boasted i in full glare (in any case, none of these girls are proadly boasting it, in fact if you watch the videos carefully they struggle to even utter anything about being an ex-muslim.)

I'm glad she made a vid as it helps us get an insight. She seems like a sincere person - good luck to her.

This is from her "info" section on this video:

P.S. If you're one of those people saying that I should be killed for leaving Islam, you're an asshole.

Looks like she needs one of these:

You can also get fully-functional pink Glocks, M1911s, and AKs, among others, decked out Hello Kitty style. God I love this country.

ROFL... my 8-year-old daughter loves Hello Kitty and as a result would want one of those!

Whoever made it must be a little twisted! LOL

Yeah, I'd be curious to know who/how the whole pink Hello Kitty guns thing got started. Pure genius. It's quite popular now for female shooters in this country.

I think I got my next avatar lined up:

Mikhail Kalashnikov is one of my heroes-- and probably my only living hero. A tank mechanic who was convalescing in a military hospital in WWII and started designing a rifle to kill more Nazis with and ended up creating, arguably, the most influential rifle design ever made. In fact, it is not just triumph in terms of small arms design, it's a triumph of mechanical design period and worthy of its iconic status.

But I think we might be getting just a little bit off topic-- Smiley

It has a bit of a strong recoil though.. doesn't it?

In comparison with some other assault rifles, like the AR-15, yes-- but generally-speaking no, and it had a lot less recoil than any of the rifles that preceded it, and many battle rifles that came after it (like the G3 or FN-FAL). The AK-74 and AK-101 have less recoil than the AK-47 due to having lighter rounds. AR-15 still has a lower recoil than those two AK models, but that's due to a direct impingement gas operation system which increases fouling and wear on the chamber, leading to malfunctions and shortening the service life of the weapon considerably. The AK-107 has a recoil comparable to the AR-15 due to a "balanced" double long-stroke piston operation.

Long and short of it-- the AK-47 has a bit more recoil than some other later-designed assault rifles, it's still more than manageable, especially in semi-auto, and the later Kalashnikov models have recoil comparable to late-model NATO assault rifles.

Seriously, though, although I could sing the praises of the beauty and brilliance of the Kalashnikov design for many posts, this is moving way off topic, so unless we are going to go back to discussion of Hello Kitty guns (which does at least indirectly relate to KimDonesia) Smiley, if you'd like to discuss this further we should start another thread or take it to PMs.

Q, is this the M416 with a scope and an extra clip? I can't tell, but the muzzle looks a bit longer for a M416.

Hard to tell whether it's an MR556 (the civvie semi-auto version of the HK416) or just a flat-top AR-15 with a 416-style forestock, though I'd be much more inclined to go with the latter as 416s are rare on the civilian market (I'm not even sure they have come out yet, though they've been planning to since 2007) and typically come with a different standard buttstock and steel mags-- that looks like aluminum.

The main difference between the two (besides the price) is internal-- a standard AR-15/M-16/M-4 uses a direct impingement gas operation system (which leads to the problem I mentioned above) and the HK416 and similar clones use a short-stroke piston gas operating system derived from the G36. So basically, you'd have to look at the manufacturers markings or else field-strip it to know for sure. Or at least I would. I've got an M-4 clone, but I'm not the biggest fan of the AR-type rifles, so I'm not an expert on them or anything. If I were to get another and had the cash to do so, I'd get an MR556-- fewer feed problems due to the steel mags, less fouling, over heating and longer service life due to the short-stroke piston operation, plus legendary HK quality.

Whenever they do come out (if they haven't already) I'd expect them to cost between 2500 and 3500 bucks, so if you want one, but want to go the cheaper route, get a decent M-4 or AR clone (between 1,000 and 1,500 bucks), then spend 400-500 dollars or so on a short-stroke gas piston retrofit from Bushmaster and buy some steel HK mags (50-60 bucks a piece), and a quad rail foregrip (75-150), and you'll essentially have an MR556 for much cheaper than the real thing.

Definitely a cool gun. Would love to have one and I really think they should make this (or something like it) the standard weapon of our armed forces. Only issue I have with it is they don't have a version chambered in 6.8 SPC yet, and I think NATO would be better switching to that from 5.56.

Speaking of 6.8 SPC, I saw another video with this guy that shows he's kind of an idiot when it comes to ballistics. He said the reason for the introduction of that round is because it has better stopping power than the 5.56, which really has little to do with it-- reason it's a better round is because it can penetrate cover better. Also in this video he makes it seem like the use of a piston is some kind of great advance in weaponry when it's been around since the 40s or earlier and the US (and the countries our military supplies) was the only country dumb enough to use a direct-impingement gas system on its main combat rifle for so many years.

All the same, it's a really cool weapon and I'd love to have one, though I'd probably prefer the RobArms XCR, as not only does it come chambered in 6.8 SPC, you can get kits for it that easily convert the weapon into 5.56, 7.62x39, and 6.5 Grendel-- now that's a fuckin versatile weapon. Uses a long-stroke piston, so a bit harder to control under automatic fire than the 416, but for semi-auto, when chambered in 6.8, it's every bit as accurate as an AR-15, and as reliable and powerful as an AK-47. This is all big money shit, though, and I can't justify the expense on my current salary.

    fuck you

Personally I'm more into Sniper Rifles than Assault Rifles. Which one is your favorite? I'm stuck between the range (capable of beyond a mile shot) of Cheytak, versus the sheer power to penetrate through a tank wall of a .56 Caliber.
