Anjem is a useful idiot and for that he will be allowed to continue.
Idiot: He is an idiot because he is causing a lot of harm to the form of islam he is supporting.
Useful: BNP-types could not have asked for a better spokesperson (idiot). He is so useful in fact, that i often wish that he is just an ex-muslim or a copt taking the piss. (No one can be that stupid, no?)
Useful: People like me who wants islam destroyed/reformed are glad that the islam from back home, now has a western voice. Anjem does *not* contradict the middle-eastern leader of islam, quite the opposite, Anjem is a living translation to the shiit the non-english muslim leaders spew in their own language. Every Friday on Big Microphones, and evey chance they get. What makes Anjem so useful (idiot) is that Anjem is parroting the voice in English. Exposing parts of the dogma that are not meant for Western ears (and eyes).
Useful: To the average as well as the moderate muslim, he/she can always blame the bad partsh of islam on idiots like Anjem Choudary who are giving islam a bad name. Just like it is convenient to blame the saudi for what ails islam.
As for the western muslims, how many fronts can they be expected to cover. From their own imams, in their own mosque that the muslims need to work overtime to muzzle (naked meat). To the books that come from back home, that the muslims need to cover, to the difficult questions that their own sons/daughters are asking. To the western media that is constantly blamed for defaming islam. Anjem becomes quite a low priority.
Of course Anjem must be exposed & stopped, but unfortunately, and plz forgive me my honesty Hassan, you will not see me raise a finger to make him stop talking. To me, they all sound the same, English or Arabic, they say the same words and the same message. Who will I protect if I shutdown Anjem? The Westerners? the western muslims? the Muslims? The arab leaders of islam?
CEMB and any other similar organizations could not make moderate and sensible people think, but AJ is (hopefully) making Muslims question their religion.

To some I may sound irresponsible, but I believe in the nature's laws. Sometimes things have to go worse before they get better. Look at the financial markets. A bear market commences after bulls have taken complete control and have driven the market to unprecedented highs. A bull market starts from a low where the last panicked investor has taken his loss, thinking a recovery will never take place. May be I had not left Islam if I had not devoted myself to it.
If moderate Muslims do not stand up to shut him up, then they deserve all that bad reputation AJ is bringing to them. Why would I, an ex-Muslim, stand up to protect the reputation of Muslims, who whole heartedly believe that I should be killed and I will burn in hell for ever - only because I have slightly different personal beliefs.
