  • Ex-Muslim from India!
     OP - June 08, 2016, 09:22 PM

    Hey Guys,

I have been an Atheist since 2013. My age right now is 22 years. I live in India with my parents.

What made me question religion? Well, many things, but to be specific, I started researching more science. Science gave me more answers than Religion. Some of the things which pissed me off is:
    1) Not being able to question Islam in Mosques and Holy Places.

    2) Allah has plan for everything even if it means a woman getting raped, 1000s of people being bombed, wide discrimination acts against blacks and other minorities worldwide.

    3) The punishment of leaving Islam is DEATH!

    4) Marriages of Child girls and the idea that Women in Islam belong to kitchen and husband only.

    5) Prophet having many Concubines and shit, and still no Muslim ever talks about it.  finmad

There are tons more reasons that helped me take the step and leave Islam ultimately. Although I live in a Democratic Country, my family is Conservative and my Elder 2 brothers are very Religious. So, therefore, I have not talked about this with anyone in my family. Being the youngest brother, I will face attacks from everybody from my family.

The best I have planned is to move out of India to somewhere else where I can totally stop pretending like a Muslim. The thing I fear is not death, but the attacks from my distant relatives on my parents. My parents have suffered a lot in past and I don't want it to happen again. Once I'm out of here, I will inform this issue to my parents. I'm trying to be independent before I try to convey my feelings. You can expect any negative shit from a Muslim family, unfortunately.

This is my short story and intro to all the people in this forum. Glad to meet you all!  Smiley

    Regards!

    Welcome AsimNexus  parrot

I think with the right education you have good changes to find a job in Europe. However, you could also move inside India to another city, such as Mumbai, where people don't know you so much.
