Hi, I've joined this forum because I want to find a scientific and rational basis - if any - to my otherwise happy and fulfilling subjective experiences of being Muslim.

It has been meeting someone from a Muslim background who had some confident responses and previously unheard misgivings on the typical theist arguments that started my own questioning of whether god exists or not. Perhaps after my readings and discussions I will emerge a stronger Muslim - or perhaps not.

I was impressed to find someone here transcribed the Krauss-Tzortzis debate. It was finding resources like that which attracted me to the forum.

I wish everyone well in their journeys for truth and justice.

    Welcome. parrot

This scientific miracle nonsense is something that only started in the 1970's or 1980's. You won't keep a quran on the same shelf as physics or biology textbooks, because the quran obviously is not a science book. Assuming you don't expect to find a verse detailing string theory, I have to ask what exactly you mean by your question. Can you clarify "scientific and rational"?

`But I don't want to go among mad people,' Alice remarked.
`Oh, you can't help that,' said the Cat: `we're all mad here. I'm mad.  You're mad.'
`How do you know I'm mad?' said Alice.
`You must be,' said the Cat, `or you wouldn't have come here.'

    Welcome to the forum Smiley

He's no friend to the friendless
And he's the mother of grief
    There's only sorrow for tomorrow
    Surely life is too brief
