    I just went through the entire thread. That took a lot longer than usual for a single page  Tongue Thanks for coming to discuss your views ElRafa Smiley It's gutsy of you to defend a position against an entire forum of opposing views.

    I found three explicit arguments and one implicit argument for your reasons to convert. Please correct me if I'm wrong but these were:

    1) The messages of Islam were so enlightened and profound, that no man could ever construct them
    2) Islam is the most satisfying explanation for the universe in its totality, in contrast to the obvious absurdities of other religions
    3) You find Islam the most comforting truth amongst all the uncertainty
    4) You find Islam's teachings and Muhammad's character to be moral

    Since I'm interested in Islam's veracity, (1) is the only relevant argument to me. Islam's truthfulness doesn't logically follow from arguments (2), (3) and (4). This is because arguments (2) and (3) appear subjective, as "the most satisfying" and "most comforting" message for you doesn't necessarily make it true. As for (4), a religion with moral teachings doesn't necessarily make it from God and having a moral character doesn't necessarily make you a prophet.

    In regards to (1), there have been enlightened and profound messages throughout history, what specific messages make Islam's divinely inspired? Could you please unpack this further? Also, what are your reasons for believing in God's existence?
