    My new website is finally finished: AtlasoftheHumanJourney.com. It uses interactive maps to chart the story of human evolution and migration over the course of 7 million years. Please give me any feedback with regards to any errors, site design, functionality, and content. Thanks.



    Work on translations into Arabic and Spanish has already begun.

    It's really neat. I had a good browse around. One small suggestion - I think it would be good to be able to navigate between maps - maybe via buttons on either and of the timeline to the earlier/later maps.

    On the general topic you might find this book interesting if you haven't already seen it, though it's mostly limited to Europe.

    One correction - Pedra Furada is a large overhanging rock face rather than a cave. As far as I know there aren't any caves in the area although there are rock paintings all over the place, surviving where there's natural protection from the elements.

    Did you continue into the MA or PhD programs? Just wondering the goal of your studies was.

    H naledi has not been dated yet. So no way to know when to have it appear on the map.

    No I got a Masters degree in GIS and then went into the workforce.

    I have now implemented your suggestion. It definitely makes it easier to quickly browse through the site. Though I think it looks a little cluttered now....
