Stumbled upon this from this Reddit post by the author.

Abdullah Sameer - Why I Left Islam

    Quote from: About
    The blog title

Why did I choose the name Abdullah Sameer for this blog title?
Becuause it shows both sides of my journey in life.  I was born as Sameer, and then I chose the name Abdullah (servant of God).  While I am no longer Abdullah, this title fits perfectly for the blog.

    About me

I was Muslim for around 15 years.  I was born Ismaili and I converted to mainstream sunni Islam at the age of around 16.  I am now 33 and no longer Muslim.  I left Islam in the middle of Ramadan, 2015.

    Why create this blog?

I made this blog to share my reasons for why I left Islam in an organized fashion in the hope that it will make others think. I promoted Islam for half of my life, using my skills to share Islam with others.  I created a site for sharing Islamic videos online for free, along with some DVDs I used to make and distribute outside masjids and online.

My personality is one of sharing, and just like I shared Islam with others for many years, I would like to share my new conclusions with others.

Quite a number of blog posts there people here might find interesting.

I see the latest person to join has the same name. Same person or an unlikely coincidence?

`But I don't want to go among mad people,' Alice remarked.
`Oh, you can't help that,' said the Cat: `we're all mad here. I'm mad.  You're mad.'
`How do you know I'm mad?' said Alice.
`You must be,' said the Cat, `or you wouldn't have come here.'

Hi there.  I am new to this forum and wanted to introduce myself.      As the above said, I have been a Muslim for pretty much my entire adult life.  I was born as an Ismaili and converted to Sunni Islam in high school, and was practising it to the best of my ability until this Ramadan.    About a year ago I started researching the scientific claims in the Quran and was bothered by a lot of them, including the whole "Yajuj and Majuj" being somewhere in the world trapped behind a gate.

When I did more research, the Alexander the Great story matching the Quranic details caused me a lot of trouble in my brain... Then I started looking into all the science in the Quran and the more research I did, the more I realized that this stuff doesn't add up.

Also, I am the admin of lightuponlight.com, I founded this site many years ago.

Is it coincidence or is it fate? Tongue  Actually neither, I saw the link pointing at my page Tongue

Thank you Nikolaj for posting my blog on here.  thnkyu

    Sameer

    Hi

I am very interested in the knowlege you have, about the scientific proves in islam, which i dont belive in anymore, but i need to be able to argue with muslim familymembers, who often try to convince me by using those proves.

Which Alexander the Great story? Never I heard of it. (of course I know the stories about Alexander the Great, but what has it to do with Islam?)
