Hello ex-muslims

I'm Bazz from Portugal

I'm an atheist ex-christian and I was never a muslim.

Islam in Portugal is really small (about 40000 in a 11 million population) so it has virtually no presence in the lives of the vast majority of us.

I wanted to join this forum because I believe in the "sacred" right to leave religion and I became really sad when I read about how difficult is to leave Islam.

I never was religious, though my mother is somewhat, so leaving christiany and coming out to everyone had, literaly, no impact in my life whatsoever. One dinner I just said to my parents that I'm an atheist and they said ok. That was it.
I have Hitchins, Dawkins and Krauss to thank for my disbelief.

So to finish I just want to say I hope we can all get along.

Unfortunately I don't know any muslim nor do I live near a big city (That's where they are)
I will move to a big city in two weeks that as some dozens so I will try to bring someone to the dark side

Well because of the reconquista, we and the spanish force converted them back using the inquisition and expeled the ones that didn't want to. Along with the jews .
