`But I don't want to go among mad people,' Alice remarked.
`Oh, you can't help that,' said the Cat: `we're all mad here. I'm mad.  You're mad.'
`How do you know I'm mad?' said Alice.
`You must be,' said the Cat, `or you wouldn't have come here.'

Welcome to the forum. You're quite young to already be an ex-convert! Would you mind sharing the details of your journey with us?

(Tu es vraiment jeune pour un ex-converti. Comment en es-tu arrivé là?)

    Hi everybody, and thank you

Welcome to the forum. You're quite young to already be an ex-convert! Would you mind sharing the details of your journey with us?

(Tu es vraiment jeune pour un ex-converti. Comment en es-tu arrivé là?)

Yes, my journey was quite short. I converted two years ago but I was intersted in Islam since I was 12. So, when my sister converted, I did so without asking too much questions. Then I learnt about the scientific miracles in the quran etc so I felt like I made the right choice.
I started to pray, sometimes at the mosque with a friend of my great sister but when I read the Quran for the first time I just couldn't believe that it was the word of god (violence, hell fully described, holy war, the story of the yellow cow which is ridiculous and more)
After reading the Quran, my deconversion was very fast, I started to ask questions to my sister ( how can god be so violent ? How can he be angry as he is perfect ? ), to all her muslim friends, to my muslim friends but no body had good answers. So I sarted to ask mysef other questions like " Why would Allah put my parents in hell only because they don''t believe ?" "How can people convert to islam knowing that their parents will probably go to hell ? " The only answer I had was " No body can know who will go to hell, perhaps allah will accept some unbelievers in Jannah" . However, this is not what the quran says. So I quickly lost my faith because of the "Glorious Quran" and now I don't believe anymore ( but I still affraid of hell, don't know why)
Sorry for my late response and sorry if my English is not verry good
Thank you for your welcome thnkyu
