  • Leaving this Great Religion of Islam?
     OP - December 30, 2014, 10:19 AM

May I ask you what you made leave this great religion? Probably some misunderstanding or misconceptions? For instance, one section on Wikiislam on 'Scientific errors' is totally misleading and makes irrelevant statements. I am open to any discussion about Islam, yet without distorting the truth. For instance, Qur'an talks about layers of heavens whereas this article talks about galaxies which is not against any statement within the Qur'an. Galaxies are dispersed indeed throughout several layers. I can provide several further examples. I also. informed the editor of this section and for some reason they just directed me to this forum.  I would like to get involved as an editor in 'Scientific errors on Qur'an' indeed with a change in the title  'Scientific Miracles and Qur'an" as well in order to prevent the misguidance of others.

Hi aykk, did you see the replies when you asked this previously? http://www.councilofexmuslims.com/index.php?topic=27929.msg798830#msg798830

`But I don't want to go among mad people,' Alice remarked.
`Oh, you can't help that,' said the Cat: `we're all mad here. I'm mad.  You're mad.'
`How do you know I'm mad?' said Alice.
`You must be,' said the Cat, `or you wouldn't have come here.'

The Quran is riddled with scientific errors. The majority of scientific ''miracles'' fall into three categories: Copied from previous theories, (e.g pretty much everything about embryology in the quran), mistranslated Arabic (in the case of verse 25:61 which is sometimes translated ''the moon reflecting light'' when a more accurate translation would be ''a moon giving light'' implying a scientific error), or simply so vague that you can make anything out of them (e.g, the verses about the heavens and the earth being ''cloved asunder'')

If you fancy a debate I'm up for it though. Life's been boring the past few days.  Cheesy

Allah was just one of the ancient arab pagan gods that the expanding Arab empire hand-picked as the one and only only god for their Empire. They then later added portions of Christianity, Judaism and Zoroastrianism as their State Religion was created.

Inconsistencies between the text, secondary texts, parent religion of Islam and history.

You point about 7 layers of heaven has no leg to stand on. The idea is older than Islam which just assimilated the idea. 7 layers of heaven, 7 planets all predate Islam by centuries and amount to the same ignorance of the world which is divine ignorance in the case of the Quran.

This guy is either a Troll or an idiot. Or both.
