I wanted to share that video...it just seems that they're getting getting bolder these day. As if there's no longer any need to cloak their bigotry. Dispatch international endorsed the view that immigrants from countries with lower iq are genetically stupid, and should be stopped from coming for this reason in order to ''save'' democracy. They also endorsed the view that that its an evolutionary strategy for turks to rape.

PVV and similar parties around Europe have been part of the goverment. What will happen when these guys are primeministers and ruling parties, how will that impact liberal movements in muslim countries when illiberal&fascist parties are part of the government in countries funding liberal civil society in muslim countries.

Dutch Xenophobe Geert Wilders Echoes Goebbels’ Infamous 1943 Speech

    Quote
A correspondent for the German press agency DPA heard a disturbing echo in the language used by the most famous and infamous politician in The Netherlands this week.
    [...]
The echo the DPA correspondent heard, and wrote about, was of Nazi Propaganda Minister Josef Goebbels in his famous 1943 speech at the Sportspalast asking the Germans crowded into the stadium if they were ready to wage “total war.” “Yes! Yes!” they shouted.

When Germans start likening you to a Nazi, you know you’ve struck a nerve, and that, of course, is exactly what Wilders set out to do.

Dutch Far Right Leader Geert Wilders Quizzed Over Anti-Moroccan Speech

    Quote
Dutch far-right politician Geert Wilders has been summoned for questioning by prosecutors over anti-Moroccan remarks he made at campaign rallies in the Netherlands earlier this year, prosecutors said on Thursday.

What countries are funding liberal civil society in Muslim countries? Are you talking about the USA in Iraq and Afghanistan?

If you remember a case involving the Egyptian military gov cracking down on foreign funded NGO's. One of those was Freedom House. There are others...but Im having trouble with internet...and the forum..if you google, Im sure that you'll find are for example women rights and other human rights NGO's funded by the EU,. Sometimes, those NGO's are local, other times theyre international and based in the west.

Damn, I can't look at that, I feel so ashamed that this party is so big in Holland. The latest low point of these haters is that in parliament they were saying they want to close all mosques, they don't want islam at all, and that they're scared muslims will take over the country by the womb. It makes me sick that people in the parliament talk this nazi crap and that people are falling for this hate.

What is more frightening than the hate itself, is that the people themselves don't recognize the similarities in their rhetorics and values. Those who are blind and forget the history are bound to repeat it. A lot of charicatures and prejudice of Muslims and non-white/Western immigrants is as bad or worse than those you find of Jews in the 30's.

The 2 founders of Dispatch International are popular in Scandinavia in the same way that Robert Spencer and Pamela Geller are in the US, and maybe even more so. As Danish Peoples Party according to the polls will become the largest party in Denmark and Swedish Democrats the third largest, and maybe in a few years the largest, Dispatch International is an important news site for their voters.

Yep. Because doing this for the last 30-odd years has stoked the fire.

    Good reaction:
    1. Shutting down schools of Islamic extremists
    2.Criticism of Sharia
    3. Organizing campaigns for womens rights and funding womens rights groups
    4. Exposing Islamists

    Bad reactions:
1.Limitation of freedom of expression in banning minarets and wanting to expand further to Quran.
    2.Torture
    3.Limitation of privacy rights
    4. Undermining rule of law

Sweden Democrats vice president says that immigrants should receive money to leave. I think they have such a law in Denmark, after proposal by Danish Peoples Party .The steps taken by Sweden Democrats reminds me of what Nick Griffin said in that secretly/leaked taped video on which he outlined the strategy for parties such as his. The thing that went wrong for his party was that tape, otherwise you might have seen BNP going in the direction that Front National and Sweden Democrats.

Its about the direction of the steps.

It is older than Danish People's Party. And not a large "success" so to say. It is almost for refugees only, not easy to get and most prefer to stay as they have built a life here.

And it doesn't really help people in Syria, Palestine and Eritrea - the areas where Denmark are receiving most asylum seekers from currently. Also asylum seekers aren't even eligible. They need a permanent stay permit for that. If they seek that help while having a temporary stay permit it gets automatically revoked. Probably in an effort to avoid "abuse".

Our immigration and refugee laws are fucked and seem to have been crafted to get people into a catch 22.

Im not referring to newly arrived immigrants or asylum seekers, such law has existed in Sweden for a long time. Im referring to citizens which might include second generation. Not sure if this is the case in Denmark, but that's seems to be what is suggested by vice president of Sweden Democrats..

In Denmark we just block Muslim refugees. At least those coming through UNHCR.

    Quote
Since 2006, the Danish government has stopped accepting refugees from countries in the Muslim world as part of its annual refugee quota, according to a new report from the Justice Ministry.

    Quote
Last year, Udlændingestyrelsen ("Danish Immigration Service") travelled to Nepal, Ecuador and Uganda in a bid to find quota refugees. This year, it intends to go to Ecuador, Uganda, Lebanon, Colombia and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The high number of Muslim refugees reportedly coming to Sweden of course have the right-wingers here shitting themselves.
