    Quote
Leaders of the IERA charity spoke this year of an “attitude towards engagement with the homosexual community”. It told the Standard that Mr Mansur is not associated with them in any way

thats pretty harsh from iERA. He may not be employed by them, and is instead employed by Allah, but to say there is no association at all is surely stretching the truth somewhat. I wonder if he feels abandoned by his mentors and brothers.

An iERA video in which Yusuf chambers is chuffed that Mansur is shown in an article wearing an iERA shirt. Now they say no association at all. What a kick in the beard.

    Seriously,

How many people is iERA going to dissociate with as damage control ?

First rashid and chagtai and now dawahman. Maybe later on iERA will just be Hamza and noone else.

Don't forget that both Abdur Raheem Green and Hamza have dissassociated themselves with their former selves.

'I was a different person when I made those comments.'

I remember when Dawahman apologised for making 'slut shaming' comments about rape and released a video after he got spanked by some people (his wife perchance) so I wonder what went wrong when he went off on a homophobic tirade. Someone accidentaly let go off the leash.

When did they dissociate Rashid and Chagtai?

They've probably been fired. If you check iERA's website they are no longer listed as speakers and iERA is looking for other candidates for a PR guy which was chagtai's previous position.

My ISOC at the uni I attended was really weird, at the lectures they'd segregate the audience, men sit on the chairs at the front and women at the back. But after the end of the lecture the members of ISOC who were 'brothers' and 'sisters' would 'free-mix', 'flirt' and have boyfriend girlfriend relationships with each other.

I couldn't take those guys seriously for there double standards, I remember in a jumah 'khutbah', the guy was talking about lowering the gaze, not to free-mix etc; and then straight after the prayers he walks out of the prayer hall with his girlfriend ?

I was really pissed off at the guy at the time because I really dislike double standards. I had to stop my mate from punching the guy because who tells people that it's basically haram to have a girlfriend and then walks out the prayer hall with his girlfriend ?

He always removes vids that he later realizes were pretty embarrassing but occasionally people download and mirror them before he takes them down.

He shouldn't have removed it, he should have referred to it and retracted the opinion he lad out in that video linking on that video to his revised views!

dawahman vs krauss is still so painful to watch.

I dont think he really disagrees with any points he made on the night. He just thinks that he should have shown more respect for krauss and been more calm, and he thinks that because that is what everyone told him to think.
I'm sure he thinks that he won the battle of wits, even if he lost everything else..

    Second that.

As an atheist I never thought of drinking my daddy's sperm until Dawah Man brought it up.

Of course my dad had been dead for 17 years by that time but I still don't see WHY I should drink my dads sperm. I'm pretty sure that would be past the "we have to eat those who died already to have a chance to survive"-mark.

In Dawah Man's optic that would mean that GOD told us not to eat our own and that is where morality comes from.

But I think we trying to understand why you chose to like an arrogant, ignorant, homophobic like dawah man. Who's opinions are very questionable and his manner is appalling, I mean his behavior is like a teenager, he posts videos rashly without much thought and then retracts them when people react badly. He acts out irrational and basically throws islam tantrums.

It is hard to understand why someone would like him, unless you just find him amusing, thats a bit more understandable.

I thought you guys were joking about the "drink your dad's sperm" video....you totally weren't. :/ With my degree in mental health, I can think of two reasons why that would be the first thing to come to your mind when you ask yourself "What would I do if I didn't have morals?"

Reason 1: Abused as a child. There is a rare, but not unheard of, way of dealing with traumatic abuse that involves convincing yourself that it's something you enjoy. So there's an example in the literature of a woman who was gang raped, and then developed a fetish for gang rape fantasy, and this lessened the trauma of the actual abuse. It's a way of sort of using neuroplasticity to normalize and de-traumatize a memory. Of course a much healthier alternative to this would be actually just using a more normal approach to neuroplasticity, desensitizing through learning relaxation techniques or taking relaxing meds and reliving the memory while relaxed. This has the same effect, but seems a bit safer.

Reason 2: It's his fetish, probably repressed, and he's sublimating or normalizing his fetish by projecting it onto others. Very common, you see this for example in a lot of "ex-gay" therapists, who are themselves "ex-"gay and discuss homosexual sex acts in vivid detail with their clients to impress upon them how "unnatural" and "disgusting" these acts are, while trying to actively distance themselves from something they themselves wish to do. Eg: Pastor Martin "Eat da poo poo" Ssempa, now under arrest for promoting homosexuality, showed niche fetish porn to his church.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for I have a sonic screwdriver, a tricorder, and a Type 2 phaser.

DM's charisma with fellow Muslims is often confused with good arguments. It happens with people regarding a range of topics which have nothing to due with him or even Islam. As Galfromusa pointed out with fetishes his line of thinking could be along the lines of religion structured taboos. With a religious line of forbidden and acceptable acts from his point of view all which is forbidden is now acceptable without God. He never attempts to counter his own argument before presenting it which is challenging one's bias. He doesn't attempt a dialogue with an atheist to understand their position. He constructs a strawman which he can knockdown. I noticed with his videos which follow standard apologetic arguments there is less emotion, sensationalism and off-topic banter. These videos stay posted on his account. However this is just repeating arguments from better men. Putting aside the various issues with standard apologetic these videos cause little to no controversy. When he creates his own arguments you see how flawed his own thinking is and the controversy which follows. He is a parrot and a yes man hanging on the coattails of others for his popularity.

Dawah Man has appeal to less educated brown ghetto kids who spend all day on social networks cause he uses slang and ebonics and dresses in ghetto attire. He has the whole rapper persona but he spits dawah instead of rap lyrics. You can still see alot of the failed rapper in him in his whole persona. body language, vocabulary etc. If I was a teenager and liked hip hop culture and was somewhat muslim I'd find Dawahman appealing

DawahMan actually now has more facebook followers than Hamza !

I like him and I studied at one of the top 3 public colleges in England, also I am a highly educated graduate.
I am brown (don't see what skin colour has to do with it, but oh well) and i'm not a 'ghetto kid' and don't spend all day on social networks. I also dislike hip-hop.

I wish dawah man every success in his videos, from his videos you can see he is a intelligent and caring family man. That's my view of the guy, you can disagree with me if you like but as I say each to their own.

I've also had the opportunity to speak to Hamza T in the past, he also is a very kind hearted and intelligent man.

Charlatans, all of them. I know it's a strong accusation but i have been following their nonsense for years and while their overall intentions may be positive, the way they go about things is frankly dishonest.

To give you an easy example, IERA (Hamza and co.) have claimed no association to dawahman yet this simply not true as we can see from the evidence from this thread. Sure, he may not be employed by them or formally apart of their organisation (maybe he is, not sure) but to say they have no association to him is a lie. One lie of many lies that they all make. Dawahman even said in his video with the sikh guy that Hamza is his teacher.

I tried finding the video of Dawahman mocking christian beliefs but like many videos that he is embarrassed with, he has taken it down, how can you like this guy?

It is worrying he is taking videos down. I fear he might end up leaving the faith. That could be a huge embarrassment for the ex-Muslim community if he continues to make videos wacko
