People using acid rain as one of the signs of end times.

وأن يكون المطر قيظا
Is there any word in that phrase that can be translated as acid?
From what I can work out, even though I'm not an arabic speaker, is that it says the rain would be burning or have heat.
Before anyone can think about it for too long, quickly mention acid rain, and everyone will shit themselves with how the prediction has come true and we're all going to die in a few days.
So then everyone is thinking of acid rain as if it is some kind of sulfuric acid dropping from the skies and burning people's skin. But it truth, acid rain has less acidic content than vinegar, and unless you have a serious skin condition, even vinegar isn't going to cause burning or feel hot on your skin. Acid rain seems to mainly cause damage to the bricks of old buildings and over a long period of time.
I think it could just be another crazy end of days prediction like the "mountains are going to float away" i.e. fire is going to rain down on people instead of water. But that doesn't seem to be happening anytime soon so how do you make this crap relevant? Acid. If only they took some instead.
