    Went to the gym earlier. Currently chatting with a mate online, possibly arranging a visit while drinking vodka and lemonade and smoking a fag. Will probably eat later, catch up on some shows then bed. After that gym, and see if I can muster the desire to hoover and scrub.

    We have one kid who went around in years past and systematically chopped down each stalk as it grew a bud. Two years ago when I moved here I wondered why nothing was blooming and his sister explained it to me. So I got permission from his mother to enlist him, and he was named the first Flower Protector of the neighborhood. That year he got a little plastic Ninja Turtle as his pay for guarding the flowers during the summer. This year he asked for a party and then he deputized all the other kids, so it is also a celebration of the neighborhood kids working in cooperation.

    I baked a cake for my brother's birthday.  Later we will have a barbecue at my father's house. 

    I know many muslims never get a birthday party or a birthday cake,  please let me bake you a virtual one.  Lit the candles one for every year you are on the earth. Now we sing happy birthday.  Blow out the candles and make a secret wish.  So now we all eat a slice.
